I love our cordless vacuum, I was never that bothered about getting one, but it makes it so much easier. Especially when you have a crumb generating child!

Oooh I love our cordless vax blade. It’s a dream to use.

I also love the IKEA octopus. It’s brilliant for socks/smalls. Means I can hook it on the line in summer and save line space & it can hang on the edge of the airier in winter

My collection of kitchen knives, one for every job. And various sized whisks and sieves. Used everyday. How boring is that!

Splodgerbodgerbadger · 23/12/2021 18:40

@Maxifly my DH loves his kitchen knife collection. I always use the same two really old ones we have, it drives him mad.

I've got a clothes pulley (not sure how to spell it) hanging above the stairs, and I love it! I don't ever care if that makes me a loser.

Greydogs123 · 23/12/2021 18:43

My bread maker. I make multiple loaves a week and love that I can have a fresh loaf in 2 hours!

PumpkinPickle22 · 23/12/2021 18:44

My ninja duel air fryer - use it everyday

Splodgerbodgerbadger · 23/12/2021 18:46

@HeadToToesNo It sounds really useful, my Granny used to have one in her kitchen they called it a creel. It was huge, I’d forgotten about it until you mentioned it. Happy memory. Smile

My air fryer - I bought it thinking it would probably end up in the back of the cupboard like every other gadget, but I use it most days and very rarely use the oven now. I even found out the other day that it does perfect "boiled" (roasted??) eggs.

TurtleOnMyKnees · 23/12/2021 18:48

I’ve got two amazing spatula/spoon things that make me feel so happy whenever I use them! They’re made of silicon and the combined spoon/spatula shape makes them incredibly handy. One is small and perfect for getting every last morsel from a jar (eg mustard, nut butter, mayo etc) and the other is bigger and perfect for getting everything out of the food processor or saucepan. I’m even giving some as Christmas presents this year as they’re so good!

FingersofFish · 23/12/2021 18:53

@TurtleOnMyKnees I've been after the jar one, do you have a link to the one you have?

Mine is a pizza slice. Got it in July for my birthday. Love it.

SmallGreenStripes · 23/12/2021 19:00

My electric blanket

EllieSattler · 23/12/2021 19:02

Cloakroom sink and kitchen tap. Ours were shit - kitchen tap leaked and sprayed everywhere. Cloakroom sink was too small to wash your hands in and the cold tap wouldn't work properly. Got them both replaced this year. Turning the taps on brings me unbridled joy.

delilahbucket · 23/12/2021 19:07

Pot grabs, use them all the time and lots of designs so they're nice to look at! Braun multi hand blender, we use this several times a week and always marvel at how useful it is. Best money ever spent on a kitchen gadget.

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 23/12/2021 19:08

I have a multiple pronged thing that holds onions still when you chop them and means you can do very finely sliced/diced onions. My friend bought it for me as one of my Christmas presents about 5 years saying “it’ll change you life” and she was right 😂

SenecaFallsRedux · 23/12/2021 19:10

My grandmother's mixing bowl with a spout (technically a batter bowl, I think.) It's a lovely shade of green I used it today to make Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie.

MrsTophamHat · 23/12/2021 19:16

My digital kitchen scales. I always used to have traditional sprung kitchen scales but i love being able to weigh ingredients straight into a pan, or to reverse weigh out of a container. No washing needed and so slim so it takes no space in the cupboard.

ADialgaAteMyDog · 23/12/2021 19:16

My cheese grater box. Grater fits over the box, then has a lid to store your grated cheese. One of my best buys.

AffIt · 23/12/2021 19:17

We recently bought some silicone spatulas and I shit you not, they have been LIFE-CHANGING.

Every time we use them, the OH and I ask each other 'what did we do before spatulas?'.

Life has now been divided into Pre-Spat and Post-Spat.

I wish I could say the same thing about the fucking potato ricer (bored/drunk lockdown purchase bought to improve our gnocchi game, used once and now just spends its time being an annoying waste of cupboard space).

NadjaofAntipaxos · 23/12/2021 19:17

Just checked out the onion prong. Thinking a nit comb could perform a similar function?

DukeofEarlGrey · 23/12/2021 19:17

Cordless vacuum for sure, also Nutribullet, heated blankets (bed and throw for sofa) and heated air dryer.

Did not realise there were so many!

Disneydatknee88 · 23/12/2021 19:17

A handheld hoover. It's small and can easily be packed away in a drawer. lts great for the stairs and for clearing up the crumbs my kids leave all over the sofa. I also really love my airfryer. Use it for everything.

Any chance of a picture please? I've been debating doing the same but put off by not knowing what it will look like.

I could do with one of those. Have discovered frozen chopped onions now though. So good.
Nannewnannew · 23/12/2021 19:20

I love the Erase Your Face cloths for removing make up. They are basically just a micro cloth in pretty colours and are brilliant at removing all your make up.

tectonicplates · 23/12/2021 19:23

Electric mixer and some new mixing bowls! And a new cake tin! Makes it so much easier to make cakes. I know it sounds ridiculous but it really cheered us up through the lockdowns. If we're going to spend more time at home cooking, we might as well make things a bit easier for ourselves.
