I love our cordless vacuum, I was never that bothered about getting one, but it makes it so much easier. Especially when you have a crumb generating child!

The Aeropress I bought has gone in the recycling. Waste of money.

TheCatShatInTheHat · 23/12/2021 22:03

The dishwasher.

I'd get rid of the kids before getting rid of that.

Splodgerbodgerbadger · 23/12/2021 22:06

I will have to look into this onion fork and the spatula’s.

Only as much time and effort as you put it. Have a wee look on YouTube, there are tons of methods on there for using it.

For me I put in a scoop of coffee and fill the container up to the number 4 then pop on the plunger. Go wash my face, put on my face cream then come back and push down the plunger, milk and sugar and I'm good to go! I love it, best thing I've ever bought.

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 23/12/2021 22:09

Before aeropress I had a French press but couldn't stand all the grit id get at the bottom and could never get a cup of coffee just right, feel I've cracked it with the aeropress and never ever bits in the bottom of the mug as there's filters in it Grin

My milk frother that cost me about £3 (pic of a similar one attached).

I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Those annoying milkshake and hot chocolate powders that don't dissolve properly? Not a problem anymore. I know I'm sounding like a QVC presenter but this has genuinely improved my life.

Wooden toast tongs! Just normal wooden tongs but keep especially for toast. The simplicity is glorious.

Thickasmincepie · 23/12/2021 22:24

My bottle stopper for fizz.

My steam mop is enjoying a renaissance now we have hard floors.

ThePlumVan · 23/12/2021 22:25

I bloody love a good old fashioned mop.
If I see one I just have to start random mopping where we are.

Okbye · 23/12/2021 22:25

Steam generator iron! ♥️
I’ll never buy a regular iron ever again!

thenightsky · 23/12/2021 22:26

This potato peeler. www.lakeland.co.uk/7625/OXO-Good-Grips-Y-Peeler

It's so sharp DS refers to as 'the light sabre'.

MsJuniper · 23/12/2021 22:58

I also love the Socktopus (surely its real name?)

yoshiblue · 23/12/2021 23:08

Butter knife
Shower squeegee
Robot vacuum
Continental style airer with wings (so much better than our tall Minky one)

lisaandalan · 23/12/2021 23:25

Cordless vacuum and washing machine and dryer, could live without the oven lol. X

HolesInMySocks · 23/12/2021 23:27

Some asda own frying pans. Purchased as its all they had in stock. They were about a tenner.
They've been the best I've used. Wash up lovely. Nothing ever sticks.

AD3000 · 23/12/2021 23:29

Magnetic knife holder strip...a little bit of magic right there on the kitchen wall

AuraBora · 23/12/2021 23:33

Integrated (under counter) bins (big ones).
New thing for me as recently had new kitchen. Love how they pull out, hold so much and hide it all.
Got so sick of bin and recycling being on show..
My life is very exciting...

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 23/12/2021 23:36

Instant pot - it is amazing, one pot pasta bolognese in 5 mins, chicken casserole in 35!

Geppili · 23/12/2021 23:36

My beautiful, long-lasting Brabantia bin.

somehowsunshine · 23/12/2021 23:49

My apple corer.

Wildrobin · 23/12/2021 23:51

If only one, my mug from DS. He designed it aged 9 with a photo and I love it.,

Otherwise :
Lakeland silicon tongs.
Dyson handheld vacuum
Silicon pastry brush for oiling tins
Nutribullet
E-cloths

SmellyOldPartridgeinaPearTree · 23/12/2021 23:53

@HeadToToesNo

I've got a clothes pulley (not sure how to spell it) hanging above the stairs, and I love it! I don't ever care if that makes me a loser.

I have a massive old one of these in my utility room. The utility is also where the boiler is so it gets really warm and the clothes are always dry by the next morning. I love it!

cissyandbessy · 24/12/2021 00:02

My Simple Human kitchen bin. Was expensive but the bags fit perfectly so almost never any grim bin juice to clean. Just such a nice thing after years of grotty flat share plastic bins with broken lids and them cheap black bags that always ripped. Bleurghhh.

OooPourUsACupLove · 24/12/2021 00:11

I’m envious of the people with clothes airers over the stairs. We lost that when we converted our loft and so the lovely new loft room usually has a clotheshorse covered in pants in it Sad

My boring loved things are: a waiter’s corkscrew with a little step in the lever so you can lever the cork half way with the step then all the way with the end; reusable facial pads instead of cotton wool pads plus a nice jar for the clean ones and a pretty bowl to drop the used ones in; a twelve(!) socket multi plug screwed under my desk to keep all the home office cables neat and out of the way; a peeler than I’ve had for more than twenty years that works brilliantly; and the two empty 4 litre olive oil cans that DH turned into utensil holders because they are huge and hold everything neatly without getting the potato masher tangled with the tongs.
