I love our cordless vacuum, I was never that bothered about getting one, but it makes it so much easier. Especially when you have a crumb generating child!

The kettle and the toilet, after being in the outdoors and rushing to find loos, a toilet is a blessing

My new SDS drill
Knife through butterSmile

My tea cup. It’s bone china and very pretty (yes tea does taste different and it keeps it warmer for longer)

My teddy duvet cover. It makes me so happy Grin ds feels the same about his cover too

Nat6999 · 24/12/2021 01:02

My halogen oven, my Breville hot cup hot water dispenser & my Tassimo My way.

Mini chopper. Shove onion, carrot, celery in for the base of anything
Chops onions really finely
Great for salsa
I use it all the time and would replace immediately if it died!

NMC2022 · 24/12/2021 01:14

Oh and this peeler. If you buy it, be CAREFUL. It is so sharp I took half my nail off without even noticing

A brilliant airing cupboard. The airing cupboard with shelves already existed but had a fair amount of space so DH made a set of collapsing racks that can be lowered when not in use. A whole load of washing dries overnight and it's just great.

Dishwasher
E-cloths

Anystarinthesky · 24/12/2021 01:38

An omelette maker which was reduced to £5 in LIDL.
I use it for my breakfast every morning.

I have the OXO veg peeler too, it is really good.

I have a heated cape also from LIDL, so cosy for reading in bed.

white vinegar 29p

descales kettles, cleans mugs, unblocks sinks, kills mold, stain removal non toxic and cheap

OooPourUsACupLove · 24/12/2021 02:13

Oh yeah vinegar is brilliant! We make a shower spray with vinegar, water and a tiny bit of scent, really helps keep down the London limescale.

So that’s another thing I love…my really good refillable spray bottle that sprays a lovely fine mist, and between that and the vinegar has probably saved at least twenty single use shower spray bottles.

beenthereboughtthetshirt · 24/12/2021 04:21

exactly! Xmas Grin

habibihabibi · 24/12/2021 04:43

A big triple height clothes drying rack on wheels. I got it when we lived in Asia. Put clothes on it in the laundry room and wheel it out if its fine or leave inside if not. Wheel about the garden to catch sun.

Do you use it neat?
Oblomov21 · 24/12/2021 05:45

Tiny dyson hand-held. Fab.
Eufy. Love it. Dh and ds's hate it.

MinnieMountain · 24/12/2021 06:37

Heated airer- brilliant in the winter.
Airfry- I thought it was another of DH’s random gadget purchases but we use it loads.

GoodnightGrandma · 24/12/2021 08:00

I put a bottle of white vinegar in my washing machine occasionally, and run a wash, keeps it clean.

GoodnightGrandma · 24/12/2021 08:03

I wouldn’t be without my hot water tank and immersion heater, in my airing cupboard.
When our electric went off one year, between Xmas and new year, we were having hot showers while the neighbours had cold showers in cold houses.
And it’s great for drying washing.

WeeFae · 24/12/2021 08:05

My bagel slicer

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/12/2021 08:16

Finally treated myself to a set of Denby, and it's so beautiful that even a slice of toast feels like a treat on it.

Joseph Joseph soap dishes. Easier to clean than any other soap dish I've ever possessed.

le Creuset silicone spatulas

Salt pig - my mum bought it for me years ago and I was bemused, but it's still in use and excellent

A huge wardrobe - a recent purchase and totally life changing!

shreddies · 24/12/2021 08:24

Eufy
Carpet scraper thingy
Cheapy steam cleaner - so satisfying for blasting gunk

Very tempted by a karcher window vac

StruggleStreet · 24/12/2021 08:31

Steam mop! It’s only a cheap one but so satisfying, wish I’d bought one years ago

StruggleStreet · 24/12/2021 08:31

Can someone link me to a carpet scraper please? They’ve been mentioned a few times and I’m intrigued

Charley50 · 24/12/2021 08:47

My spatula, no waste. My electric blanket, my lovely bar soaps, my favourite mug (this can change).
I with the had an airing cupboard or an overhead pulley thing. Had both growing up.

SeaRabbit · 24/12/2021 08:53

This potato peeler:

mora.fr/m/12978

I bought one from a shop in London and thought it was the best I'd ever used - really sharp and good for small hands - the OXO one is just too big to hold comfortably. A friend who's left handed raved about it.

I couldn't find any more in UK, but was in Paris recently, and there's a street with at least 3 professional cookshops on it (Rue Montmartre), and I found some more, so got two, one for me as a spare and one for my left handed friend.
