Supposed to be going to sleep, but as per usual am wasting time, for some reason unbeknown reason to, I like to avoid sleep 🙄

Anyone else awake (and why😁)?

I'm so sorry to hear about the cancelled Christmas
plans - it's horrendous timing. DH was hospitalised with Covid last month and he's doing much better but it's been a slow recovery and my sleep has been terrible this week as my stress has now transferred to getting Christmas sorted. I only got my tree up yesterday and haven't got any presents wrapped.

I'm going into the city today to get some presents so of course I woke up at 3.45pm and haven't managed to get back to sleep.

languagelover96 · 19/12/2021 09:43

hello I could not sleep at all last night.

1WeekTillChristmas · 20/12/2021 00:45

Here we are again then!!!!

SweetsAndChocolates · 20/12/2021 01:28

I'm here Grin

I can't believe this, but I just spent about 40 minutes playing animal crossing on dcs Nintendo 😂

I may have completely ruined their progress Confused

Good morning everyone! I’ve been awake since 3.33am precisely 😬 I have to be up at 6.00 and just know that I’ll feel sleepy again at around 5.45!
Better or worse than my usual waking at 1 or 2 am? I’m nit sure!

Bedsheets4knickers · 22/12/2021 04:58

Yep me too 😩 up in 90 mins . It's so infuriating.

RobertSmithsLipstick · 22/12/2021 05:41

Awake too, every night.
Then missing deadlines and doing what needs doing during the day, because I'm either napping, or feeling ill but trying not to nap.

Bedsheets4knickers · 23/12/2021 03:36

Pregnancy insomnia (pain, restless legs etc). Oddly I've gotten more sleep tonight than I have in weeks - 5 hours so far but it is usually 214 hours of broken, bad quality sleep!

Not sure what I did differently tonight but in any case I am awake now.

PeacefulPottering · 23/12/2021 04:26

I had to say goodbye to my Meggy, a soulmate doggy I have loved and been loved by for 16 years. I can't sleep, I loved her so much and now she is not here. Her absence is horrendous. I have such pain.

RobertSmithsLipstick · 23/12/2021 05:00

Oh no!
How horrible.
The pain of losing a pet is hard to deal with.
I am sorry to hear that, and so close to Christmas, too.
Not that there is ever an easy time.

I'm awake because I'm not well - I think I have had a gentle light bulb moment, and realised that I'm probably not going to ever regain my health as I knew it.

SweetsAndChocolates · 05/01/2022 02:04

Holidays are over (it was ok to sleep late 😂), but here we go again...

Don't think the storm is helping Sad

Had sleep issues the last couple of years, think it's the covid situation.

Bedsheets4knickers · 06/01/2022 05:08

Anyone awake ? I'm up worrying because im feeling rubbish after my booster and il have to phone in sick from work . Im never sick .

Bobbobbobbing · 06/01/2022 05:17

I'm here bedsheets and in exactly the same boat. Was hoping pfizer would be better than AZ but I feel horrendous- shivering, joint pain, skin on fire and feel sick.

Are you worried about the reaction or the phoning in sick?

It's so rubbish isn't it . I woke at around 2am and I've just got worse and worse . I'm on a double shift today and I know they are already short on numbers . They won't do anything I just don't like letting people down . Theirs no way I can go in like this . My arms throbbing .
BruceBogtrottersWife · 06/01/2022 05:26

I am awake (in fairness I work nights, from home). Managed to find a job that suited my insomnia-but, I am also in the 'dog days' of covid and feel pretty much like collapsing into bed now :) 1 hr to go.

Hope you start to feel better soon .
Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 06/01/2022 05:33

I'm awake. Had my booster lunchtime Wednesday and now feel like shit. Going between boiling hot, freezing cold and shivering. Got a headache, nausea and a dead arm. Barely slept and this night seems to have lasted forever.

That said, I'd much rather have this side effects than full blown covid but it sucks I'm feeling so rough, especially after I breezed through the first two (all 3 were Pfizer)

Bloodybridget · 06/01/2022 05:35

Woke for the second time an hour ago and was disappointed that it was too early to get up. No reason to be awake other than habit: no pain, anxiety or children needing attention! Sending sympathy and sleep spells to all wakeful posters.

Bobbobbobbing · 06/01/2022 05:40

Yup- I've given up on sleep. I'm on the verge of crying as everything hurts so much despite enough pain meds to stun an elephant.

It's my nwd today but I was planning on doing some work. That's so not happening!

Bobbobbobbing · 06/01/2022 05:43

Imamum- agree about the side effects being better than covid. I had it a few months ago and it was not pleasant- would hate to think what it would be like without some protection!

Bloodybridget · 06/01/2022 05:44

Flipping heck! Was just snuggling down again when my tablet makes some loud announcement about needing to do something or other to do with Google Assistant! What a cheek!! Gave me such a shock, it's never done this before and I don't use GA or have any notifications turned on. Will have to get up now, too discombobulated to sleep, grrr.

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 06/01/2022 05:46

I just feel so awful. I'm due to do a 10 hour shift on Friday too so I hope I'm better then. I ache all over, my bones (joints mostly) hurt as well as the other symptoms. I just hope my 7 & 13 year olds behave for me before and after school so I can rest
BruceBogtrottersWife · 06/01/2022 05:49

Bedsheets4knickers
Thank you. Can't believe how tired it has made me feel!I've had 6 days off work (AL,luckily!) and have almost enjoyed being able to sleep properly. Not so good now I am back! :)
