Just announced on BBC news.

Blimey, what a week in Downing Street.

OP posts:
ohreallynotreally · 09/12/2021 12:51

Perfect timing!!Bet it was elcs to take the heat off BJ shitshow!Congratulations though.

JSL52 · 09/12/2021 13:03

@CampagVelocet

Urgh. She walked into the hospital only about five hours ago so it appears to have been a very conveniently-timed elective section.

It blows my mind that we can't even say for certain how many children the PM has, such is his unreliability.. One more than yesterday is the only certainty.

No way of knowing that. Also , no way of knowing whether she needed a section for medical reasons I am in no way sticking up for them though.
Arethechildreninbedyet · 09/12/2021 13:04

Bloody hell, another one?! I swore she only gave birth a few months ago! I genuinely hope she and the baby are doing well and they get home safe and sound asap!

As for Dad? Nope, nothing positive to say about him. What count does that bring him up to now? Wonder if these two will end up before a court too to deny their existence?

Could give her the middle names 'cheese' and 'wine'.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 09/12/2021 13:05

How many kids does BJ have now? I can’t remember if we’re allowed to mention them all.

supermoonrising · 09/12/2021 13:06

Carrie gives birth to a baby girl: PM breaks off from Covid chaos engulfing government to escort wife to hospital and welcome their second child together- making him father to at least seven children

The DM twisting the knife with that subheader! I find it hard to imagine him still being PM next summer. I mean he's always sought attention, including for people to laugh "at him", but it used to be for HIS benefit, HIS career progression etc. Now, its just non stop brutal coverage. Nobody thinks he's funny, nobody thinks he's competent. And of course he doesn't believe in anything he's doing, because politics to him has never been about anything more noble or more idealistic than "Make Boris Great". I can't imagine it's much fun, so I think he'll go back to being a journalist churning out hilarious borderline non-PC pieces about muslims, homosexuals or whatever, with the odd celeb TV job.

@VodselForDinner

I wonder will they keep a newspaper from today for her memory box?
Best post of the thread!!!! Grin

Probably best post of the day!

@Fairylights25

Honestly I am so happy for them. I am sure he could do with the happy news that his little baby is safely here, and holding her will put paid to all the nastiness out there, a reminder of love and joy. Good luck to them, we wish them well.
Hello Carrie's mum.
RoyalMush · 09/12/2021 13:07

That’s comment of the Year!

ancientgran · 09/12/2021 13:08

@Cyrilgoggin

Oops....

And it has been reported that Carrie won't be taking maternity leave from her job as Head of Communications at the Aspinall Foundation (a charity currently under investigation for possible financial irregularities).

You couldn't make it up. You really couldn't.....

He can take it then can't he? Shared parental leave. Does that mean we might get a break from him for a few months?
ancientgran · 09/12/2021 13:13

@vera99

That picture on her bio was very telling - you can see the pain etched into her face. One can only imagine the constant humiliation she must feel seeing her ex-husband and his mistress's every move.
If I was her I'd be laughing at the fool and celebrating not being tied to him. Shame for her kids as they can't really divorce him can they.
baroqueandblue · 09/12/2021 13:15

A lovely heirloom for the baby.

As a pp said, you won the internet on this day in history! Thanks to you and the poster who wondered if they'd keep a newspaper from today. I've just belly laughed for 2 full minutes! 😊

supermoonrising · 09/12/2021 13:19

BJ on overpopualtion:
"The primary challenge facing our species is the reproduction of our species itself. It is time we had a grown-up discussion about the optimum quantity of human beings in this country and on this planet. … Isn’t it time politicians stopped being so timid, and started talking about the real number one issue?”

BJ on children of single mothers:
Written in an article for The Spectator magazine in 1995, the Conservative Party leader described the children of single mothers as “ill-raised, ignorant, aggressive and illegitimate”.

That second quote - it's like something from some nasty extremist group. And people elected this guy as PM. Jesus.

Pickles89 · 09/12/2021 13:28

So she's actually slept with him at least twice?! That's really, well, wow...

repottingthescabious · 09/12/2021 13:29

is this birth by the virgin carrie timed so he can conveniently step down citing new dad responsibilities.

he really should not be breeding anymore.

Mercurial123 · 09/12/2021 13:31

I wonder if he'll be planning a party to celebrate?

whataboutbob · 09/12/2021 13:35

I don’t think Carrie is a surrendered wife so I doubt she would have consented to a C section to take the heat off Bojo.

Will Boris go on immediate paternity leave?

awaynboilyurheid · 09/12/2021 13:44

@whitehorsesdonotlie

Just what the world needs, another spawn of Boris, age 57. Lovely.
I was wondering what to write in the baby congrats card! Thanks you!

Ffs, wake up. And I very much doubt he'll be doing a great deal of 'holding the baby'. That's the nanny's job.
DobbyTheHouseElk · 09/12/2021 13:59

I didn’t realise his eldest child was 27. Wonder what she thinks about her Dad still having babies at his age.

How old is Carrie..? Sounds like she’s not far off the age of his eldest daughter.

Mercurial123 · 09/12/2021 14:03

😆 if only life's problems were solved by holding a baby.

whenthedoveslie · 09/12/2021 14:05

He needs to go on paternity leave. Forever.

PS. To all the Pollyannas', people taking a critical view of an elected Prime Minister isn't about being 'bitter, nasty or hateful', it is about being aghast at the lack of accountability and repeated lies from our government.

You can be thrilled over the birth of a privileged baby you will never meet, but I care more about the state of the country and the atrocious handling of this pandemic.

vera99 · 09/12/2021 14:06

She's 33 young enough to be his daughter- but a healthy age to have babies which she appears to be. Sorry for your loss fairylights , but he's already taken....

ALongHardWinter · 09/12/2021 14:31

Oh! I didn't think it was due until the spring!
