Just announced on BBC news.

Blimey, what a week in Downing Street.

OP posts:

Love the comment that no way on earth would a woman prime minister get away with having messy hair and being not quite sure how many children she had? Never. Patriarchy thriving isn’t it

Cornettoninja · 09/12/2021 11:02

Head of Communications at the Aspinall Foundation (a charity currently under investigation for possible financial irregularities)

Hmmm. It’s unfortunate for one half of a couple to be caught up in an investigation at work, for both to be caught up separately in investigations hints at neither of them having a particularly good moral compass or if I’m being generous, lack of ability to tell who they shouldn’t be getting involved with. Neither should be anywhere near Downing Street and the running of this country.

Congratulations to both - I still can't see how Carrie shagged BoJo though brain bleach needed!

Gonnagetgoing · 09/12/2021 11:04

@Onlinedilema

Also if he was a woman has would be called all the names under the sun for having endless kids with different partners.
Oh don't worry I do call him 4 x 4 or how ever many partners he's had kids with!
Gonnagetgoing · 09/12/2021 11:05

@FazedNotPhased

What convenient timing.

'er Carrie love, in a spot of bother at work, whole country hates me phwar phwar. Mind having a eensy elective section to take the heat off and distract the proles?'

such convenient timing after yesterday and all.... cynical, moi?!

‘Alas, you’ll have to climb on top tonight. I’m tired from shafting the country all day’
SmellyOldOwls · 09/12/2021 11:07

Good luck to that baby, hopefully Johnson can control his temper next time he has a drink and the police don't have to be called again.

52andblue · 09/12/2021 11:07

A healthy birth is always a blessing
but...
Poor kid!
What suspicious timing...
Only an ex-Etonian could keep producing an unknown amount of kids with an unspecified number of women, have the Church wangle his wedding (s) and still march on through, lecturing the rest of us. Bleurgh.

GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 11:07

Alas, alack, indeed.

Pipsquiggle · 09/12/2021 11:07

I wonder if she was induced? I wonder if they will have a 'gathering' to celebrate?

I hope both she and her baby are well but TBH that's about it

Tomthumbsbigbum · 09/12/2021 11:08

I wonder how much curry and pineapple she had yesterday, and probably a shag with the vile pig for good measure. The timing seems almost too good to be true.

GattioAnyone · 09/12/2021 11:08

Yes, best wishes to the baby.

Re financial shenanigans... Et tu Carrie? (I'd missed this, but am not remotely surprised)
CaMePlaitPas · 09/12/2021 11:10

I wish the baby and her mother the best.

Pity her father is a dickhead.

vera99 · 09/12/2021 11:11

If she ever needs a good lawyer when this sad excuse of man goes wandering which of course he will Marina Wheeler might give a helping hand.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 09/12/2021 11:12

Well congratulations. A new bairn is a blessing.

Hopefully they do a better job of keeping the head wetting shindig quiet.

DaisyNGO · 09/12/2021 11:13

I thought she was due in March. Is it just me?!

fuddleducks · 09/12/2021 11:13

That's fortunate timing for Boris.

ElizabethG81 · 09/12/2021 11:13

I wish the baby all the luck in the world. Her parents, not so much.

Carrie's not getting a pass just because she's given birth on demand.

Octavia174 · 09/12/2021 11:14

Who really cares? he has 6 or 7 children, a disgrace in this day an age.

vera99 · 09/12/2021 11:15

Allegra said Boris had saved the world in her teary goodbye - so the planet is saved for his 7/8 kids. So I'll drink to that. Gin

She announced her pregnancy in July but it was always going to be this month. Maybe you had it in your head as counted from when she announced it?

Did she? I didn't watch it all as I couldn't abide all the sniffling. In what way has Boris saved the world? Confused
KerryWeaver · 09/12/2021 11:17

Is this number 7 or 8 bor Boris?

What was Boris's take on 'feckless fathers?

I must have turned off by then. He spent what seemed like ages in the press conference about covid saying how wunnerful she was so there you go. Quid pro quo. Alas.
