Just announced on BBC news.

Blimey, what a week in Downing Street.

OP posts:
ShirleyPhallus · 09/12/2021 10:52
@ShirleyPhallus is it naive to think they haven't planned the birth of a child around whatever forgettable scandal they're onto currently - which most of the public don't give a shot about?

I'd go the opposite way and say it's a bit divorced from the reality of this government to see them as coldly meticulous and calculating as that
Actually I’ll grant you that perhaps they’re not clever enough to be meticulous and calculating - perhaps just making the best out of the situation!

CormoranStrike · 09/12/2021 10:52

What odds on the baby being called Cressida?

onanotherday · 09/12/2021 10:53

@ShirleyPhallus

She was seen walking in to a hospital at 7.40am today. Either doing fantastically, managing not to waddle in contractions (like I was) or an elective section which a cynic might wonder the timing of given everything else! A nice bit of news to distract from the rest of the shit show?
My thoughts exactly! ..and now he can claim paternity leave....
AndARiverBeneathYourFeet · 09/12/2021 10:53

@KirstenBlest

She probably had it days ago and they're announcing it today to cover up the Christmas party scandal
Also my view.

Fuck Boris (not an instruction, Carrie...)

MatildaTheCat · 09/12/2021 10:53

Really are there no lengths Carrie won’t go to for her man?

Congratulations to her. Now in MN tradition, fgs LTB and claim child support.

Wonnle · 09/12/2021 10:54

That must put his offspring into double figures now !

Marshwawows · 09/12/2021 10:54

@VodselForDinner

I wonder will they keep a newspaper from today for her memory box?

ABCeasyasdohrayme · 09/12/2021 10:56

I wish the baby the very best of luck.

dollybird · 09/12/2021 10:56

I didn't even know she was pregnant! 🤦

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 09/12/2021 10:56

@CaliforniaDrumming

I remember how Boris gave a long speech a few years ago on how Africans and Indians should keep their birth rates down to save the world. Then he went on to have more children than he could keep track of.

Sorry if that reads nasty. Us former colonial subjects don't appreciate being blamed for the state of the world.

Doesn't read nasty at all. Only an ex-Etonian could have an undetermined number of children by an undetermined number of women and not have it impede his career in any way. And of course said sexually incontinent man would see nothing untoward about lecturing others on their birth rates.
Helpstopthepain · 09/12/2021 10:56

Meh.

Kendodd · 09/12/2021 10:57

Anyone think Johnson is lying again?
The timing of this is too good.
If true, poor baby, imagine having him for a father.

I reckon he's got a super injunction on his other kids, you never hear from them.

Cyrilgoggin · 09/12/2021 10:57

And apparently Carrie won't be taking maternity leave from her job as Head of Comm

Wiredforsound · 09/12/2021 10:57

How many is that he’s got now?

Tulipomania · 09/12/2021 10:58

Do you think they will call her Allegra, after she sacrificed her job to save her boss?

CounsellorTroi · 09/12/2021 10:58

I genuinely had no idea she was pregnant again. How couldI have missed that?

Cyrilgoggin · 09/12/2021 10:59

Oops....

And it has been reported that Carrie won't be taking maternity leave from her job as Head of Communications at the Aspinall Foundation (a charity currently under investigation for possible financial irregularities).

You couldn't make it up. You really couldn't.....

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 09/12/2021 11:00

@Cyrilgoggin

I can't imagine her job at the Aspinall Foundation is overly taxing.
ahola · 09/12/2021 11:00

I usually find it uncharitable to say the most feckless are the most fecund, but in this case...

Onlinedilema · 09/12/2021 11:00

I hope they call it Winifred.
How many kids does he have?
Hope he doesn't have any more.

RobertsRadio · 09/12/2021 11:00

I think if I posted what I really thought about this Buffoon spawning yet another drain on the world's resources It would be deleted. So shall just wish the mother and particularly the innocent baby well.

CaliforniaDrumming · 09/12/2021 11:01

Reading back my comment does sound nasty and horrible. I have woken up in a bad mood after yesterday's press conference. I do wish Carrie and the baby well, as I do all new mothers everywhere and especially those in a pandemic.

RobertsRadio · 09/12/2021 11:01

@ahola

I usually find it uncharitable to say the most feckless are the most fecund, but in this case...
Nailed it.
fournonblondes · 09/12/2021 11:01

@Wondering1000

OMG some of you are so cynical as to be nuts! As if this was all according to some master plan Hmm

Wobble your heads!!!

These people are much worse than the people they hate.
Onlinedilema · 09/12/2021 11:02

Also if he was a woman has would be called all the names under the sun for having endless kids with different partners.
