FortunesFave · 26/11/2021 05:22
DH wanted to call our first DD Charlie.
Fucking Charlie!
SO many lovely girls' names and he comes up with that.
Sorry if your is called that...it's nice enough I suppose but it's just not something I'd choose for a girl.
sunshineandrain82 · 26/11/2021 19:35
Chewbacca..
Our children did get Luke and Leia as middle names
DuchessSilver · 26/11/2021 19:42
Alan. Vetoed on the grounds we were expecting a baby and not a 50 year old accountant.
SmellyOldOwls · 26/11/2021 19:51
He wanted either Eric or Ernest. It was a no from me.

ISeeTheLight · 26/11/2021 19:55
Kevin. After a dead family member. Kevin! Absolutely not.
LetHimHaveIt · 26/11/2021 19:57
Ethan. Told him to get to fuck.
I like 'Frederica'. Never seen that ^ spelling before.
santabetterwashhishands · 26/11/2021 19:58
Rio for our first daughter
Damion for our son
Billy for our last daughter 😳
I'm
Pleased to announce they are called none of the above 🤣
shinynewapple21 · 26/11/2021 19:59
@Fittowork
I think your OH was well aware of your surname and it was a joke
LadyEloise1 · 26/11/2021 20:00
Aisling
The name of the beautiful girl he and his friends had all fancied when we were in uni.
Not a chance !!!
NatalieH2220 · 26/11/2021 20:01
Dave(!)
Not David as I would have considered that.
My youngest is called Charlie 🤣🤣
LadyEloise1 · 26/11/2021 20:08
@musicviking1
Abigail means " Father's joy".
I think that's lovely he wanted to name your dd that.
HarrisMcCoo · 26/11/2021 20:16
Thor.
Sagaris · 26/11/2021 20:18
Sylvia......just no.......
CasparsWineBar · 26/11/2021 20:31
Christina
So her nicknames would have been Chris or Tina
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
rooarsome · 26/11/2021 20:39
Stanley and Lexi are the stand out ones
happytoday73 · 26/11/2021 20:39
eusevio, Clarence...
Blackcountryexile · 26/11/2021 20:58
DH suggested Carol. I wanted Verity. At one stage it looked as though DD would be "the baby" forever! Luckily DH came up with a beautiful name we both love.
Loveteathebest · 26/11/2021 21:24
My dad wanted to call me Holly (not terrible) or Six .... spelt like that, as a number
My mum stepped in to save me with....... Edith 🙄
Although it seems to be making a re-appearance in my daughter school now
chocolatecronetta · 26/11/2021 22:00
DH suggested Maddie, I said GTF, it could be Madeleine but no shortened names, either the actual proper name or nothing.
Long story short we went for Eleanor.
RainbowConnection1 · 26/11/2021 22:10
Christina after his grandmother...it also happened to be the name of his ex. That'll be a no right there!
Ty or Argyll are standouts for me too.
wandawaves · 26/11/2021 22:10
Just thought of another one... Gage, after the boy in Pet Semetary. You know, the kid who dies and gets buried in the Pet Semetary then comes back to life evil and goes on a murderous rampage and kills his mum and others. Yes, let's name our kid after him lol.
chocolatecronetta · 26/11/2021 22:12
It is odd though how names go through fashions.
Names that are old fashioned yet still never 'make it' while some stay lovely like Charlotte and Alice.
Ugly names ( to me) like Agnes or Agatha or simply dull names like Kerry and Sherry and all those 70's names.
Or abbreviated names, they never really cut the mustard do they, give them the proper name then abbreviate it at home.
MojoJojo71 · 27/11/2021 15:50
@SisterAgatha
Ah then you must have had the issue as me where everyone suggested Michael like oh was there most original joke ever hahahaha…. Like get out of the eighties ffs

Exactly @SisterAgatha. Every joker thought they were the first to think of it too. Unfortunately XH was deadly serious about Jedi and Summer
MojoJojo71 · 27/11/2021 15:52
Just remembered DD’s dad suggested Mordred for a boy and Morgana for a girl.
No wonder I’m single again
CormoranStrike · 27/11/2021 16:28
@evelynhugo
I love the name Caroline, I think it may have a post footie lift
