So I realise I am way behind the times here…

Today after realising I was so bored listening to the radio evening after evening on my commute home I decided to dabble into the world of podcasts. I remember someone recommending happy mum happy baby and so listened to an episode on the way home and really enjoyed the change. It was so refreshing to listen to something interesting! So I would love it if people can recommend some podcasts for me! What are your favourites?? I feel like I’m entering a whole new world!

I love 'marked safe'.

I'm really into My Favorite Murder. Obviously that kind of true crime is not to everyone's taste though

You're Wrong About is also really interesting

Sweet Bobby is great and also most stuff by Wondery

60 songs that define the 90s is awesome if that was your era for growing up.

Happy Place by Fearne Cotton is good.

Heavyweight is fantastic.

Apart from that everything I listen to is about politics so depends what you're into really. Pod Save the World and Pod Save America if you happen to be an American politics nerd like me.

No Such Thing As A Fish is my go-to for long drives.

Just been all the way through the Battersea Poltergeist and now on Uncanny which is completely addictive! Great if you love spooky stuff (with a side order of scepticism/debunking).

Today's episode was particularly good! I used to love My Favourite Murder and Last Podcast on the left. Redhanded is another good True Crime one. I like You're Dead To Me and Bad Woman. Bechdel cast is good. Cautionary tales is fab with the episode about the Mummy's Curse being a particular stand out.

I like Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Spinning Plates (about working motherhood). David Tennant did one as well fit a bit, that was fun to listen to.

I love Postcards from Midlife, all about health, perimenopause, Teenagers, fashion all all sorts of other things

I came across Chatty Broads.
I have only listened to two but it was just like sitting in the kitchen with a group of mates chatting.

I've only listened to BBC podcasts for my teens.
We like Teach me a Lesson and It's a Fair Cop.

I love 50 things that made the modern economy. They're only short so I pop them in between longer shows on my downloads.

Ooo this has taken off more than I thought it was! Going to have to find the time to listen to all of these suggestions!

I love 'you're dead to me' - a history podcast with Greg Jenner who does Horrible histories (it's for adults though!!). I also love 'we are history' by John o'Farrell and Angela Barnes

As Adam Buxton says, there's a giant podcast bin out there. As it happens I like his one.

So many of them are a function of interest, so for politics I like For The Many, Red Box, Politics on the Couch, Oh God, Now What. For history, The Ancients, History Extra, Gone Medieval, You're Dead to Me. True crime, so very many of those, perhaps Casefile, They Walk Amongst Us, Seeing Red; Arts culture, 99% Invisible, In Our Time.

There really are so, so many, go to eg Apple Podcasts and browse the categories.

First season of Serial is what got me into podcasts. It depends what you are interested in?

If your watching Succession, there are a bunch of them on it. Firecrotch and Normcore is the one I like best.

Definitely Adam Buxton podcast. Louis Theroux too
