If I buy really nice butter

I can't stop eating it. I could live off really nice bread and butter. I am going to have to buy some not very nice butter so I am less tempted! I think it's my favourite thing to eat.

Anyone else adore good butter!

I love lashings of butter on bread / toast / crackers. It’s my biggest downfall and terribly bad for me.

What’s your favourite brand? It has to be salted butter!

talkalarm · 16/11/2021 21:16

Yes you now have to recommend really good butter brands ...

Heruka · 16/11/2021 21:17

Yep! one of my particular faves is salted lurpak...on warm tiger bread mmm or even on lightly toasted fruit loaf mmmmm!!!!!! Xxx

LimpLettice · 16/11/2021 21:20

Lidl West Country butter with the salt crystals. On fresh crusty bread. So painfully good, and I cannot eat it at all at the moment.

TerrifiedandWorried · 16/11/2021 21:20

Unsalted butter is a sad substitute. Real butter is amazing.

purplesequins · 16/11/2021 21:20

lurpak (or aldi dupe) unsalted.
or with herbs/garlic on hot crusty bread rolls.

my treat is a baked potato with just butter. nothing else.

Foxglovesandlilacs86 · 16/11/2021 21:20

There’s a brand in sainsburys that’s my favourite, it’s very salty , Isigny saint mere or something.

Kerrygold is also good but lurpak tastes of nothing to me! Also like the Aldi one with sea salt flakes in!

OrlaPeely · 16/11/2021 21:20

Yes!

There’s a Welsh butter from Ocado that is so good as is Aldi’s salt Crystal one.

Zampa · 16/11/2021 21:22

The Aldi Specially Selected butter is the bestest. Big lumps of salt. It's won Great Taste awards.

The picture didn't attach....

Low fat margarine= Bread Lubricant

This has made me miss my mum’s butter. I’ve never been able to make it like mum did. It still makes my mouth water thinking of freshly baked warm bread with butter dipped into her lentil soup.

Inmypjsagain · 16/11/2021 21:23

Yes bread and butter is the best! Our favourite butter is Sainsbury’s organic but perhaps now is a good time to shop around and do some taste tests!

Really fancy salted butter on a warm baguette now 🤤

Aldi does crystal salt butter? I’ve added it to my shopping list for this week, it sounds gorgeous.
OrlaPeely · 16/11/2021 21:24

Oh yes it did ....

minipie · 16/11/2021 21:25

I absolutely love butter

But for me it has to be unsalted with fresh bread. President is my drug of choice.

Empressofthemundane · 16/11/2021 21:25

This is the stuff my friends. Unpasteurised with lactic cultures. Taste is out of this world.

DeJaDont · 16/11/2021 21:25

Lescure butter is just amazing. I buy it in 500g blocks and it never lasts long. Just perfection on a nice fresh baked loaf.

Cakemonger · 16/11/2021 21:27

I think it's now thought that eating a lot of butter does you no harm. So no reason to stop OP!

GemmaRuby · 16/11/2021 21:28

Delamere Goat Butter… so good.
It has a delicious slightly goaty taste, so people who don’t like goat’s cheese (heathens) might not like it.

beekeepershat · 16/11/2021 21:30

Oh well now, this is dangerous Grin

I love butter but have never bought good butter...until now!

MsFenellaFielding · 16/11/2021 21:30

On man, I love butter. Salty, tasty butter. Butter.

greenlynx · 16/11/2021 21:30

I’m with @minipie
It should be unsalted President with fresh bread.

Catforaheadrest · 16/11/2021 21:30
