8 year old boy who did not want to do it.

I'd assume KS2 based on the writing. Maybe Y4 so age 8/9. Tbh I drew some really dodgy Christmas tree cards when I was about 12/13 (my heart wasn't in it), and some very young kids are very creative, it could be an outlier.
