I hope they aren't down playing anything.

I know she is 95 but I hope she really is as ok as they are saying she is.

@BiscoffAddict exactly. It is what the press say when they are worried someone will die.

It would be more worrying if she hadn't been seen for a while but she's been seen doing zoom calls and seeming happy so she can't be that close to death surely??

There was a still photo of her on a zoom call. You could be pretty ill and that would still be possible.

The zoom call I saw her on she was very lively and animated not someone about to die.

I thought Good for old Queenie - ducking out of the COP26 meeting so that she doesn't have to suffer Boris Johnson pretending he's King.

Why she’d be at cop is beyond me anyway, her not attending will save money, fuel, and resources. Good choice.

She would otherwise have been at COP because of the number of other Heads of State who are going. She doesn't travel overseas any more, but would see those who come here - it's a very normal diplomatic expectation that you 'match' the level of representation.

I actually think it's more likely that she has something serious but not immediately life threatening.

If she had that stinker of a cold that's going around she'd look unwell (and would be sneezing and coughing).

The fact that she's been in hospital for a battery of tests and is now taking some time to rest but doesn't actually look unwell makes me think (and I have no facts here just thinking out loud) that she could have had a cancer diagnosis or something like that...

It would be quite normal at her age to get some kind of cancer and she would still look quite well if it's earlier stages.

I wonder if it has anything to do with Andrew filing his defence. The timing is right HMwould have known about this.Perhaps she is heartsick and needs a break. She lost Philip and this is just getting messier.

I agree with most of this, but if Charles isn’t well-prepared by now he’s never going to be!

@wheresmymojo it is very common for older people to have cancer when they die. It often needs no treatment and rarely kills very elderly people.

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar yes totally agree about Charles being prepared! The longest apprenticeship in history.

I posted this on another thread. I’m a big fan of HMQ. She seems to have chipped a tooth. I’m wondering if she’s had a fall? Also, and this might seem uncouth and I don’t mean it to , but in recent video clip she seems to have lost weight and not be wearing her “foundation garments”.

I’m actually worried, she suddenly looks so frail. She’s had a horrible year.

Oh goodness, she's not going to be at the cenotaph due to a sprained back apparently. I really hope she's OK
