Policeman kicks 15 year old girl in the stomach

GreekTragedy · 01/10/2021 09:58

I couldn't see a thread about this so thought I'd start one.

I am completely shocked at this video.

This "officer" came out of nowhere and did a flying kick to a young girl!!

Now I can understand police getting a it violent in the heat of the moment but this? This is outright disgusting.

That officer should be charged.

What the fuck has happened to our police force??

From the footage you cant tell how old she is.
You can clearly see it's a small, female in sliders.. not a 6foot+ bloke in heavy boots.

And you dont know what the Offocer who kicked her saw.
He saw a young female that is much much smaller than him and responded by kicking her full force in the stomach... He didn't try and restrain her, didn't put himself between her and the officer etc.. he went straight to full force kick.
Why didn't the female officer respond with a full force kick? She saw the same as the man.

HarebrightCedarmoon · 01/10/2021 10:52

t is a partnership and people should be taught not to resist arrest

The policing minister came on TV this morning and told women and girls to resist arrest in certain circumstances, as have others today.

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 10:54

It is a partnership and people should be taught not to resist arrest.

Resisting arrest by a lone police officer is now being advised.

NewYearNewTwatName · 01/10/2021 10:55

I was not happy just watching the police officer, manhandle the girl in the first place! and called out for underage drinking? it looks overkill, I can't hear any thing on the video, but watching the first bit was cringe worthy behaviour from the officer and then the second officer running in kicking her was just awful.

were is the appropriate police training? is this how they are taught now? not how to defuse situations, just straight to arresting and physical restraining. whilst waiting for heavy handed back up?

TheAverageUser · 01/10/2021 10:56

The idiot girl was attacking a policeman trying to make an arrest.

JasonMomoasgirlfriend · 01/10/2021 10:57

I thought what he did was ok 🤷 she's pulling and going in at the police officers, he has no idea what she's Gona do, kick to get her out of the way

NewYearNewTwatName · 01/10/2021 10:59

why was he trying to arrest an underage girl for underage drinking, on his own in the first place?

WormYourHonour · 01/10/2021 11:01

@TheAverageUser

The idiot girl was attacking a policeman trying to make an arrest.
The very small female had been drinking and trying to help a friend who was being manhandled by someone at least twice her size and he was wearing stab vests and equipment... She was wearing skinny jeans and sliders...

If a male officer can't de escalate and calm 2 young girls, if his response is manhandling them.. his training has failed.

knittingaddict · 01/10/2021 11:01

@hamstersarse

I would hate to be in the police. Especially now.

They have lost all respect and so people resist arrest and interfere with attempted arrests (like to girl kicked in this footage) which just puts everyone in more danger.

It is a partnership and people should be taught not to resist arrest. If they have a complaint, they can deal with it at the station and after the high emotion of the incident.

I can see it both ways.

People who are drunk, on drugs or are mentally unwell do stupid things. In fact people can do "stupid" things for all sorts of reasons ie a victim of previous assault by a man may react badly to a man arresting her. The police should be trained to a level where a kick to the stomach is completely unnecessary. There are no excuses here.

right, so there is no other way to deal with this? apart from 6 foot bloke built like brick shithouse fly kicking a child in the stomach?

you seriously don't see the problem?

This

There is actually something wrong with those thinking that the best way for the police to defuse a situation is to do a flying kick like you think youre in some action movie

It was overkill

Some of the posters on here are suggesting it's ok for male police officers to break training and procedure and viciously attack girls.

This has got to be some sort of wind-up? Or are the police families' keyboard warriors out in force today, making things worse not better? It's not great optics, you know, when police chiefs are talking about rebuilding trust.

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 11:04

The police are looking after us all from people like her.

😂😂😂😂

Yes, the policeman had no choice but to kick the very dangerous small, wobbly, drunk 15 year old girl to the ground. He really has saved lives with that move. Hmm

WormYourHonour · 01/10/2021 11:05

The police are looking after us all from people like her.

Yes, because we need protecting from 15 year old girls that have been drinking 20/20 from the local off license..
Won't somebody please protect us from the slightly tipsy teenage girls?

knittingaddict · 01/10/2021 11:05

I thought it was lone undercover police? I may be wrong though and I get your point.
ivfbabymomma1 · 01/10/2021 11:07

The way he just fell on top of her as well! Made me wince 😢

FlorenceWintle · 01/10/2021 11:08

trying to help a friend who was being manhandled by someone at least twice her size

He wouldn’t have ‘manhandled’ her if she wasn’t resisting him. Why not just do as she was asked by a police officer?

knittingaddict · 01/10/2021 11:08

I've watched the video and that last policeman could easily have restrained her without kicking her. He clearly lashed out in anger. The girl was being silly, but her attempts to help her friend were hardly aggressive. She looked like what she was, a physically weak girl trying to pull a policeman's hand away from her friend. Not the best move obviously, but she was hardly attacking anyone.

ohfourfoxache · 01/10/2021 11:09

I absolutely fucking despair

At that age I trusted the police completely. Not so naive now

Soubriquet · 01/10/2021 11:10

This is disgusting

He literally comes out of nowhere and kicks her in the belly

Yeah she was attacking another officer but that amount of violence against her wasn’t needed

NewYearNewTwatName · 01/10/2021 11:10

He did the right thing. She should't have been doing what she was doing if she didn't want to get hurt

sorry could you tell me when the law changed, to allow police officers to deliberately hurt and punish people on the spot?

has corporal punishment been made law? let alone immediately administering it without trial?

WormYourHonour · 01/10/2021 11:12

Oh I dunno.. let's think shall we... Officer called to underage girls.drinking alcohol.. The underage girl who had been drinking, responds in a way people that have been drinking do.. Officer, instead of backing off and calming the situation, goes in with cuffs and threatens arrest.. Girl that had been drinking responds negatively.. Officer calls for back up to deal with lethal and dangerous underage drinker.. Officer approaches with cuffs.. The child responds negatively..

Who could and should have calmed this situation?
The teenage tipsy dangerous terror of the scaffolding? Or the sober grown up adult?

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 11:13

He clearly lashed out in anger.

Or joy! Some people love a chance to stick the boot into someone, anyone, whoever is nearest.

TikTokNutcases · 01/10/2021 11:13

It's nothing new unfortunately.

I witnessed my fair share of misconduct on part of the police when I was a young teenage girl rebelling against a bad home life. It's no secret that there are a number of them, usually always men, who get a power kick out of mishandling teenagers.

Quite different but I remember one occasion I was in the police cells after being arrested for some stupid misdemeanour age approx 14, one of the male custody staff came to my cell and made me feel really uncomfortable, asking questions such as did my "boyfriend" know I'd been arrested and would he (the custody officer) find anything "naughty" on my phone if he looked through it. He really gave me the creeps.

Of course I didn't say anything or complain as what would be the point, but I've never forgotten it and often wondered what skeletons he had in his closet.

The police service attract power hungry bullies aswell as people wanting to make a difference, probably in equal measure.
