Previously undecided voters would you vote for Starmer's Labour now?

Are there any previously Tory voters or undecided voters who would now consider voting Labour in a GE based on Kier Starmer's speech and him taking on the far left of the party?

I vote Labour anyway but I'm interested if any of his speech "cut through" as they say. To my eyes the main heckler just came across like a complete loony and made Kier Starmer's stance look even more sensible.

Honestly I haven’t seen the speech. I tend to look at policies. I live in a labour safe seat so sometimes I vote for Lib Dem or green.

gamerchick · 30/09/2021 10:41

No.

adawong · 30/09/2021 10:41

Not a chance.

Not a fecking chance!!

Fartymcfart · 30/09/2021 10:44

Nope

rocklamp · 30/09/2021 10:44

Absolutely not, and I am a lifelong socialist.

Stormspass20 · 30/09/2021 10:44

Yes

hanahsaunt · 30/09/2021 10:47

I am a floating voter and rarely vote for the same party two elections in a row. Were an election called tomorrow, based on what has been said by Keir Starmer and others over the course of the conference week I would absolutely not vote Labour at the moment (having voted happily for Labour on previous occasions). I care nothing for his speech until he can and his MPs can understand human biology.

radiatesshine · 30/09/2021 10:49

I actively dislike Starmer, but I would vote for him if there was a GE tomorrow because there is just no way I would ever vote conservative. Especially not right now.

A lesser of two evils.

MrsPsmalls · 30/09/2021 11:07

I thought the speech was okay. He did seem sensible. The heckler did seem like a loon. I would like to vote for Labour. But I can't get over Labours stance on women's rights. So hard choices ahead for me and a lot of nose holding.

No, thank you. I am politically homeless

VeryLongBeeeeep · 30/09/2021 11:17

I'm a lifelong Labour voter but I can't vote for any party who doesn't know, or pretends not to know, what 51% of the population is.

idontlikealdi · 30/09/2021 11:18

Nope.

Haricot · 30/09/2021 11:20

Nope, not a chance until they recognise the definition of a woman

Gwrach · 30/09/2021 11:21

I live in a labour safe seat. I still wouldn't vite for them.

The Labour part seem to have forgotten who and what a "woman" is.

I'll probably vite for the independent candidate if there is one to give them a little bit of a boost. 😂

Or if no independent I tend to go Plaid Cymru.

WallaceinAnderland · 30/09/2021 11:21

I'm a woman. I can't vote for a party that doesn't respect or uphold my rights.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/09/2021 11:23

No fucking way.

Gothichouse40 · 30/09/2021 11:23

What did the heckler say? Does anyone know? I didn't watch the speech. I would have to look into the Labour Party more, before I voted for them. Up here I quite like Mr Sarwar.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 30/09/2021 11:24

Keir’s speech was good and might have cut through for me if it wasn’t for hearing on the same day that David Lammy thinks transwomen can get cervixes.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/09/2021 11:24

One of the hecklers said “it was your Brexit policy”. She was right.

I bet Boris Johnson keeps his to half an hour. 90 minutes was ridiculous.

Alekto · 30/09/2021 11:25

No thank you.

No. Thank. You.

StiggyZardust · 30/09/2021 11:26

I feel politically homeless at the moment. Previously I've voted for Labour. There doesn't seem to be a party that represents me, a middle aged woman with left/feminist leanings.

ISaySteadyOn · 30/09/2021 11:26

No. If Labour can't respect my sex, they can't expect my X.

Like a pp, am politically homeless.
