I'm surprised there are no threads on this, there were loads about ant mcpartlin.

I have no sympathy for drink/drug driving but it's so sad the way her life has turned out. I hope she can sort herself out.

@VeryLittleOwl

I think it really should be a custodial sentence this time - she's proved time and time again that banning her doesn't work. I mean, this is her list of driving offences:

October 2003 - gets off a speeding charge on a technicality, caught doing 70mph in a 40mph zone.

June 2008 - 3 points and £200 fine for talking on mobile phone while driving

January 2009 - gets off another speeding charge on a technicality after speeding in a 30mph zone and not providing identity of the driver to police

July 2010 - 4 points and £250 fine for speeding at 99mph.

September 2010 - 3 points and £1,000 fine for failure to be in control of her horsebox.

December 2010 - 3 points and £1,000 fine for doing 83mph in a 70mph. This took her over 12 points and gave her an automatic 6-month ban.

August 2012 - Failed to respond to two speeding tickets. Given 6 points and £400 fine for the tickets and banned again for 12 months.

July 2015 - 3 points and £700 fine for failing to stop at a red light.

February 2018 - £750 fine and 6 month ban for doing 60mph in a 50mph zone.

July 2018 - photographed behind the wheel of a car with her two youngest children in the back. Police investigate, she claimed to be unaware she didn't get her licence back until August.

October 2018 - arrested on suspicion of drink-driving whilst out with Kris Boyson for his 30th birthday.

January 2019 - caught driving whilst disqualified, £1,000 fine and a further 3-month ban.

February 2019 - convicted of being drunk in charge of her vehicle and banned for 3 months.

October 2019 - £440 fine and ban for witholding name of driver, she appeals and the ban is reduced to 18 months in December 2019. Previous bans still running means she's not due to get her licence back until December 2021.

September 2021 - arrested and charged for driving under the influence, without insurance and while disqualified.

Can you imagine the outcry if that list had been posted about a woman from a council estate?

Or Ant McPartlin or any of the other celebs lambasted for drink driving?

If she doesn’t go to prison then there should be very very very few people in prison for motoring offences that haven’t injured anyone as that’s something list.

@Gilead

Yet again, women turning on women.
Bullshit. I’d call out any one on here who did the same, and many on this thread did over Ant McPartlain.

Yet again, women turning on women.
Oh don’t be daft - there would be equal disdain for any bloke who was also putting people at risk like this and repeatedly getting away with it.
Gilead · 01/10/2021 23:36

I think what she has done is wrong and I feel desperately sorry for her. Just don’t think the disgusting judge comments about how many different fathers her children have or how long she has known said fathers are kind, pleasant or supportive of someone in her situation. It’s just nasty judgemental taking another woman in the public eye down. Unnecessary.

Do you feel sorry for all unrepentant serial offenders, or it just her?
Gilead · 01/10/2021 23:43

Can’t find the bit where it’s noted that she’s unrepentant…

Have you not seen the long list of criminal behaviour that someone posted upthread? If she wasn’t unrepentant then she’d change her terrible behaviour. Honestly, I’ll never understand the Katie Price fan club on here. She’s fucking appalling.
Gilead · 02/10/2021 00:04

I’m not a fan. I just have some comprehension as to how mental illness can manifest; some of that can be in repeated inappropriate behaviours.

sammylady37 · 02/10/2021 06:23

The bleeding heart brigade here are unbelievable. This woman is a recidivistic criminal. I have seen no evidence she’s a ‘great mother’ and have seen plenty evidence to the contrary. She has a blatant disregard for the law and normal societal conventions such as not driving when you’re coked up and putting others lives at risk. Yet people are falling over themselves with pity and excuses - Peter could have saved her but didn’t (whatever happened to the mumsnet classic line that ‘women are not rehab centres for damaged men’, does that only work one way?) someone else (multiple someone elses?) cheated on her, her mother is ill (my father had a horrendous illness for the last two years of his life, it stretched me to breaking point many times but I never undertook criminal behaviour to cope) etc etc. It’s always someone/something else’s fault and never up to Katie to act like an adult and take responsibility for sorting out her life.

She’s scum. She’s a criminal. She’s a mother who exploits her children for her own benefit. She mocks the law and justice system. Her bankruptcy is highly questionable.

Yet many on here champion poor Katie. It’s baffling.

I’m trying to imagine how a thread in relationships forum would go if someone described their new male partner having the history she does. I doubt many would be talking about him as a lost soul needing help, needing to pray (wtf?) how’s that going to help??) or being ill and desperately needing medical help rather than facing the criminal justice system. Previous few, if any, would.

myheartskippedabeat · 02/10/2021 08:34

I've always been amazed by the luxury holidays and now rehab while she's meant to be bankrupt!

How does that work????

She's paid to recommend firms.

She got in trouble for telling her followers about a financial advisor (who paid her for the mention) and he ripped one off for thousands.

Did she offer to pay the money stolen? Of course not.

Disingenuous comment.
iklboo · 02/10/2021 10:26

Getting behind the wheel of a car while drunk, having taken coke & going out to get more, while banned from driving & having no insurance for the SIXTH TIME is unnecessary. She doesn't need my support. She wouldn't even get it if she was a close family member. So yes, I do judge her for what she did.

gardeninggirl68 · 02/10/2021 10:36

Right. So like serial killers then? Abusers, who repeatedly abuse...that kind of thing?

gardeninggirl68 · 02/10/2021 10:37

How would Katie's mental health fare if she was responsible for killing someone behind the wheel then?

reesewithoutaspoon · 02/10/2021 10:42

If its judgemental then I'm happy to judge her
She's a terrible mother. her life is chaotic and its blatantly obvious that she puts herself before her kids. her wants and needs (for continuous male approval) have always been her priority.
Add on to the the bankruptcies, the constant plastic surgery, flaunting her grubby relationships and drink and drug issues in the media which her kids can read about,
She comes across as a desperate woman who was gained attention while young because she was 'sexy and hot' and she is desperately trying to hang onto that attention as she has aged.
She deserves a custodial sentence because its obvious bans and fines have not stopped her behaviour. She's just lucky she hasn't killed anyone yet and she shouldn't have the opportunity to do that in the future

toomuchlaundry · 02/10/2021 11:02

I judge in the same way I would judge if this was a man. I lost a relative due to a drunk driver driving into their car.

MrsBobDylan · 02/10/2021 11:29

Crikey, that list is appalling.

She clearly has a skilled legal team behind her - must be like watching bullets empty from a gun, then handing them back to be reloaded, hoping no one dies as a result.

Elieza · 02/10/2021 13:18

But where is the money for the leafs team coming from? You go bankrupt and it’s game over. You have no money. Live in rented. Not allowed any possessions of any value as they all get sold to pay your creditors.

So where is the money she’s using to stay out of jail actually coming from?

Elieza · 02/10/2021 13:18

Legal team not leafs.

ChequerBoard · 02/10/2021 13:47

I agree the constant bankruptcy claims are confusing. I don't think she has ever actually got to the stage of being declared bankrupt but seems to constantly teeter on the edge.

Every time it becomes headlines I guess she makes a bit more money. Its all about debt rights offs and restructuring- It's the long list of creditors I feel sorry for, the small businesses she gets to do work for her and then doesn't pay.

The string of dodgy men are bankrolling her 'lifestyle' to some extent and I would guess that much of the overseas surgery / teeth / hair extension bollocks is 'free' or at minimal cost because of the publicity she brings with her.

The whole works she lives in is toxic. She needs to step right out of limelight, live simply (no men) and concentrate on rebuilding proper relationships with her kids.

ChequerBoard · 02/10/2021 13:55

No I'm wrong - she was declared bankrupt in Nov 2019.

How has she still got the house then?

Elieza · 02/10/2021 14:02

@ChequerBoard well said, exactly!

Normal people lose everything.
She doesn’t. And doesn’t get jailed either.

What’s that all about.

Reminds me of when a football team went bust but still retained their multimillion football ground and associated buildings. How can that even happen?

It’s like there’s rules for some and rules for others. I don’t understand any of it.

Figgygal · 02/10/2021 14:06

The fact that she’s escaped the law so far with her persistent blatant breaking of the law in regards to driving while disqualified is shocking
She deserves any punishment coming to her

Couldnt care about the rest of it
