Ten years ago my money would have been on Idris Elba, but I think his optimum age has passed.

Daniel Craig was the only Bond to be under 6 foot, which was one of the things I didn't like about him; JB was always a big and formidable presence before.

I couldn't disagree more - Craig is the best Bond there has ever been and will be a very tough act to follow.

I would watch a regency era Bond origins with Rege Jean striding around in riding boots and breeches - that would be a change for the franchise!

Need a bit of common sense in suggestions. Someone really short like Aiden Turner or Richard Madden wouldn't work.

Also likely to be a person of colour IMO. Idris Elba would have been great but I think he is too old maybe. Dev Patel and Rege Jean are great shouts. Not sure how tall they are though.

It's a real shame Clive Owen missed out on being Bond he would have been an amazing one, better than Craig.
