I think a Jamie Dornan is a good shout, but it may be a relative unknown.

Ten years ago my money would have been on Idris Elba, but I think his optimum age has passed.

I think Ashley Walters would be good, about the right age and a good mixture of sass and fun.

I would have loved to see Idris Elba in the role but covid delays etc it would appear the time has passed.

My three guesses would be Luke Evans, Richard Madden or James Norton.

For me it has to be Rege-Jean Page.

I think Jimmy Norton is a fairly good bet. Right age, look, profile is established but not a big star. Bloody good actor. He'd fit the profile, but he might not want to do it.

Hiddleston isn't right. Tom Hardy maybe, but he's a shortarse.
