What are the papers trying to hint about Meghan?

My curiosity is getting the better of me here. I know when papers can't print something, they hint and hint terribly:
-the falling out between the d.o.c & her Norfolk friend

• comparing the guy who plays lord grantham to Ryan giggs etc.

But I just can't figure out what they're trying to say by banging on and on about the duchess of Sussex's 'unseasonably warm coat'. There's easily been 5 articles in the dm about it. I know I shouldn't care, but I'm bored and sleep deprived so if anyone would like to humour me, I'm all ears!

I should probably add I quite like Meghan and I'm trying to drop my mindless scrolling of the daily Mail so if you're going to slate either party, I'd much prefer that it was the mail!

Apparently she was after a Marvel role and was even prepared to take acting lessons to get it. Marvel are apparently not interested. (Disclaimer - this could be absolute rubbish, as could everything we don't see or hear directly from the people involved).

They are implying that she is hiding weight gain , but don’t want to be accused of body shaming a woman who has recently given birth
She is obviously taking her time to lose the weight and will be back to her normal weight soon

I saw her and Harry on TV on a night out in New York and she is very, very slim. How ridiculous to assume she is pregnant, I doubt very much she and Harry will have more children.

Goodness knows why she was wearing that coat - maybe it was cold in New York on that day? The weather is variable just as it is here.

I think that any celeb put walking in humid 80 degree heat in a succession of $4k cashmere coats will have the piss ripped out of them because it is bizarre behaviour. No way around it. But I also remember her wearing a next season summer frock / no coat to visit an old folks home in the uk in mid winter which was equally odd. Maybe she is too excited by new clothes to wait to wear them when seasonally appropriate.

Can you not be both though? or does being very slim mean very low levels of fat? She's certainly very narrow & has very slim legs, plus photos do add pounds.

I think the story goes that either one or both kids are from surrogates. That she wore a moonbump to make her look pregnant. If she was pregnant now and more than say two months gone that would "prove" she didn't give birth to Lili three months ago.

The whole Lili isn't real thing is because no one has seen her, it's more of a joke, as is calling both kids dolls. There's so much stuff said about them, it does go too far at times.

If the white dress had been altered to fit her, she’d have looked trim. But it’s so badly fitting that it hangs straight from the bust and therefore makes her look like a barrel, despite all the trouser suit evidence that she is not. Poor dressing - or having to return borrowed clothes. That said, why would Valentino want their dress to look so poorly fitting?

Lots of supposition. Imo the Mail and the press in general should leave them, particularly Meghan alone. And they in turn should stop airing their dirty laundry in public.

I really hope it isn’t because she’s self conscious about her baby weight. It’s really sad to think she’s drowning herself in coats and shapeless outfits because she’s worried about how she looks.

It must be difficult for her because she will be compared to Kate. I was amazed at how quickly Kate lost her excess baby weight with Louis when she appeared at Harry and Meghan’s wedding. Wasn’t it less than a month between the two events?

For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed that Meghan’s face looks a little fuller and rounder (to me) since she’s had her children and I think it really suits her 🥰

I saw the clip of Harry with the children, and in my opinion, he reacts badly because a small child appears to touch or knock his mic pack on his person, and he appears to push away the child abruptly to check his equipment. Not a good look for him, and very revealing.

Harry thinking he’s a philanthropic icon, waxing lyrical about poverty and equality after gaining all of his fame and status from being a Prince in a constitutional monarchy.

Meghan desperately trying to paint herself as an advocate for the poor and disadvantaged while ignoring the cognitive dissonance of trying to squeeze into Hollywood royalty by keeping her aristocratic title that she could just ditch anytime she chooses. She won’t, obviously…

I mean, I’m not easy prey for the Daily Mail and can see when the media are unfairly hounding somebody. But in this case they just give too much material for the press not to make a nasty joke of it.

I've watched that clip a couple of times and it's either as you say, the kid was trying to get in his pockets or was too close to his crotch and he panicked. It looks very bad though.

I think I’ve seen the clip you mean, and I don’t think it’s “revealing” at all. It’s a split second movement from him that does look odd, yes. But the angle isn’t great, another child seems to come through which makes Harry lift his arm up which looks odd, you can’t hear what’s being said, and because of his mask you can’t see Harry’s expression. It could easily be that if you could hear, and see their faces, it was a jokey thing, for example.

I’m not saying it definitely was a joke, just that from the clip, and a really quick movement from him, I don’t think you can really say it’s revealing anything.

Objectively, this is a woman who looks terrific.

Analysing the coverage, the royal family is obviously on a press offensive in collusion with the media's 'royal rota' to distract from the odious Andrew and the deplorable 'playing hide and seek' in mummy's castles - for which the Queen herself is receiving criticism, especially as she'll foot his legal bills out of money given to her by 'the crown' i.e. from you, me and the country.

The Lady Louise stuff is so cynical. Ooh, we may be getting a new Princess in a few weeks to help out with the new slimmed-down monarchy.

I am not at all surprised that M&H fucked off out of it. It's one hell of a dysfunctional, dodgy family, playing control games with the press - and politicians, too.

I agree with you @JaniieJones, criticizing their appearance is petty and unnecessary, but sometimes you've got to laugh, I really did have a little giggle at the silly walk she had to do in those pants. She needs a good Tailor.

The white dress is a shift dress, it's not meant to be trailered and fitted.
It looks the same on the model wearing it in website it's sold on. Who is probably very slim.
