I have been a big gig goer in my time, slowing down a bit now, it has to be someone I REALLY want to see now it's got so expensive and getting into and out of stadium gigs is such a ball ache.
I saw Fleetwood Mac on that 2019 tour, it was a fantastic gig, hearing Stevie Nicks sing Landslide live was a life goal ticked off. I could have done without Mick Fleetwood's loooong drum solo (and by the amount of people taking the opportunity to go to the loo during it I think a lot of the audience felt the same) My only two criticisms were it felt over rehearsed, I'm sure they said exactly the same things, at the same time, every night of the tour, and of course I didn't get to see Lindsey Buckingham but Neil Finn (ex of Crowded House) was excellent.
I've seen Queen twice, at Live Aid and then at a stand alone gig because they were so amazing at Live Aid. I have to say not being a huge fan the Live Aid set left me wanting more but a whole gig was a bit much, although I appreciate Freddie Mercury was an amazing showman.
Huge Bowie fan so really enjoyed the two concerts of his (in the 80s) I went to, although being huge stadium concerts he was a bit of a dot on the stage. Sadly I didn't go to the c2020 tour thinking there'd be others, and of course there weren't ðŸ˜
Was incredibly lucky to get a ticket for the first night of Kate Bush's run in Hammersmith and honestly that concert was incredible, I was half expecting her not to show and the atmosphere was electric. Some dodgy skits and arty shit which I think was her son's input (but hey he was the one who got her back on stage so I'll forgive him) but the singing and stage show was phenomenal.
Damien Rice on a good night at an intimate venue is amazing.
