@Jneill2021 I will ring them back later on today haha x

Hannm123 · 12/11/2021 12:23

@Alk19 I’ve been following your thread and the Uc back pay for you is a joke ! I told them about 3 weeks ago .had it escalated yesterday then yesterday then confirmed special circumstances apply and they will adjust my payment correctly..rang this morning about back payment and it’s being calculated today payment will be in Monday ..I don’t know why they are taking so long for you ,is it a good few months they owe ? Xx

Lkmc105 · 12/11/2021 13:05

@Hannm123 hi I’m the same into my 7th week had an escalation and was told escalation only puts you up list and theirs no time frame still,communication is absolutely atrocious as well.

My son was moved from mrc to hrc so I’m waiting to find out if the will backpay the difference in disability element so not sure if I’m even due anything .

Alk19 · 12/11/2021 13:32

@Hannm123 I'm glad you've got yours sorted! There horrible to deal with I told them 16th august (dla was awarded on the Saturday 14th) so told them the Monday first thing as they were shut dla was awarded from 21st may so that's what I'm waiting on x

Mumoflewbielew · 12/11/2021 14:22

Just had MR reply from oct 1st. Decision not changed. Tribunal for me now. Son has suspected autism and developmental delay. Took years of waiting, covid didnt help. Now more waiting. They have seen all evidence of this. But because he is 15 they dont care. And schools have fobbed me off and let us all down

CloMo1995 · 12/11/2021 17:01

@Jneill2021 hopefully🤞🤞

@Mumoflewbielew I'm so sorry. I had the same problem with my sons old school, they didnt care about his learning and in my opinion pushed him back even further because they only really cared about the children who did well, they really let him down. His old pediatrician wasnt much better, once she had made her mind up that there was nothing there, that was it. No matter how much evidence she recieved from various people.
I changed my sons school and pediatrician and he was diagnosed on the 2nd appointment with autism and adhd xxx

Ltb17 · 13/11/2021 08:35

@Alk19 good luck with it, hopefully they let you set one up!

Alk19 · 13/11/2021 10:22

@Ltb17 so got my statement they've deducted the carers allowance (monthly allowance) from my money I've not even had a payment of carers allowance yet they only start on the 15 th so why they've already took it I have no idea! I've only had the backpay and that's a lot more than the £290 they've deducted

Almostmenopausal · 13/11/2021 10:27

@Jneill2021

Think everyone has that feeling of there claim being turnt down, I have that feeling as my boy still quite young, sometimes it's better just getting the claim in them dealing with sending the evidence after as the outcome is a long wait, hopefully they say they have already awarded it for your little one, let me no what they say , fingers crossed for you x
*turned down
firefly123 · 13/11/2021 10:42

Good morning . Anyone know how long DLA Renewals are taking currently?

Jneill2021 · 13/11/2021 10:54

@Almostmenopausal so sorry to hear this do a Mr as sometimes it's as if they don't even read every thing and take everything into account xx

Jneill2021 · 13/11/2021 11:11

@Almostmenopausal what evidence did you send ? Xx

Ltb17 · 13/11/2021 12:56

@Alk19 amazing how quickly they can action a deduction but not pay what THEY owe out isn't it!

Alk19 · 13/11/2021 13:02

@Jneill2021 I wouldn't mind but I've not even been paid my standard carers allowance yet so how can they take it when my first payment only starts on Monday and it's £67 I get Monday I've appealed it as I haven't had the monthly amount they've took x

Princess23 · 13/11/2021 16:09

Hi does anyone now how long it takes for uc to add the element payment to the uc after informing them please x

Alk19 · 13/11/2021 16:45

@Princess23 I put it in just before my payment was due so was added from the next payment but honestly I'm still waiting on the backpay since august lol

Jneill2021 · 14/11/2021 08:15

@Alk19 there so perfetic, hope you ring up everyday starting 2mra about ur back pay , there bang out of order should of dealt with it months ago xx

Ltb17 · 14/11/2021 08:45

@Alk19 that doesn't make alot of sense considering universal credit is paid a month delayed so technically they owe you that now as well as what is on your statement for this month is what you earned last month. Would definitely be arguing that too, seems like they are really messing you about.

Alk19 · 14/11/2021 08:49

@Ltb17 so they very quickly got back to me about this beileve it or not (because I owe them now) my back pay was £1690 they took £292 out of my uc this month and have deducted it from the backpay so instead of owing them £1690 I now owe £1330 there so cheeky I argued it and said the whole backpay is in the process of being set up with debt management so you still shouldn't of took it when I've not even had a letter from carers yet still no sign of my backpay from them though what a surprise x

Twin93 · 14/11/2021 11:02

Hi recently posted on this thread as I was waiting for my sons first renewal we received hrc and lrm for 6 years. My son does meet the criteria for hrm so decided to put in a mandatory reconsideration just wondering how long its taking and if anyone has had their award reduced after?

Princess23 · 14/11/2021 12:32

Hi can anyone tell me the funding thing u can apply for me I seen it on a post but cant seem to find it as I am new to all this thanks and does anyone know what element uc pay for high rate care please thank you x

Jneill2021 · 14/11/2021 13:53

@Princess23 I'm pretty sure its about 402 extra a month x

Ltb17 · 14/11/2021 14:50

@Princess23 its 402 a month and the funding is called family fund. Simple application but about a good 10-12 weeks wait for decision.

Ltb17 · 14/11/2021 14:51

@Alk19 yeah amazing how quick they are when you owe them. So are they planning on taking that much each month for you to repay? That seems an awful lot to me

Alk19 · 14/11/2021 14:54

So they'll take 292 a month @Ltb17 for the carers and then I have set up a plan to repay my backdated money from carers I get my carers weekly though so not to bad family fund I'm still waiting on a decision my application was done in august had my phone call assessment 4 weeks ago still nothing yet x
