OP posts:
Nic247 · 09/11/2021 13:09

@Alk19 I updated my claim 23rd Sept. I got the elements added on Oct statement. Last week I got a letter from decision makers saying the excepted my reason for late reporting

Alk19 · 09/11/2021 13:13

@Nic247 I really don't understand what the hell their doing with mine 16th august I told them and for some reason they still haven't made a decision about my backdated payment x

Alk19 · 09/11/2021 13:14

@Lrc11 wow that's really bad I'm on a joint claim I work 10 hours my partner is down as the carer we've not had any interviews since before Covid I don't even have a work coach anymore Hmm

Ltb17 · 09/11/2021 13:33

@Alk19 I called them a little while ago, asked why they see it as a late report, the boy on phone couldn't answer it, he just said now it's gone to decision maker they can't look into it but located the proof that I reported it in time. anyway he escalated it, they have until 6pm tomorrow to get back to me. Sure it still won't won't sorted by then thought

Ltb17 · 09/11/2021 13:40

They've just replied
Thanks for your message.
I have received a handover from the call centre. For your information, when you call the call centre they pass the handover to me so it might just be easier to send a journal message.
I do understand that you did not report the change late, but due to the backdating of your child's benefit the correct process for UC is to refer this to a decision maker. It is really just process so no need to worry.
I will contact you again once I have the decision. The decision maker may also upload a letter to your journal.
Regards.
🙄 dunno if that's progress or not 🤣🤣

Alk19 · 09/11/2021 13:40

@Ltb17 yeah that's what that did with my escalations gave them till 6pm the next day then I'd escalate again x

Alk19 · 09/11/2021 13:42

@Ltb17 that's pretty much the messages that get out in mine when they do put a message in then they come back with theirs no time frame just excuses all the time? Haha x

Timeisavirtue · 09/11/2021 14:16

My 8 weeks is up tomorrow. Need to find out soon as DS needs some new clothes etc. Will call them on Friday as off work.
I really don’t understand what the hold up is especially for renewals, I can understand for new claims. Not sure why we need to do Renewals anyway, autism is here to stay, he’s not gonna change, maybe get worse due to hormones but it’s not gonna disappear.

Ltb17 · 09/11/2021 15:57

@Alk19 yeah tbh I figured it would be the case. I really don't understand how it's so difficult

Listenkid · 09/11/2021 17:03

Hi all, I called dla yesterday I was on hold for 67 minutes and 39 seconds finally spoke to a lady who said my son change of circs form was scanned on the 29th July and I should wait a couple of weeks before I contact them again. Its been almost 15 weeks now and no correspondence from them at all. I thought possibly as my son wasn't 5 until September that may have delayed the process and the change of circumstances was mobility as we couldn't claim that before his 5th birthday.

Alk19 · 09/11/2021 21:39

Hi everyone just a bit of a random question my son has recently today started pocketing his slaiva and then pulling it out/pushing it out of his mouth and soaking all his clothes does anyone else's child do this? (Autism mummy)

Jneill2021 · 09/11/2021 22:42

@Alk19 yes my little boy started this couple months ago it's just a sensory thing, my boy is exactly the same x

Ltb17 · 10/11/2021 06:05

@Alk19 my boy does this, but he always wants his clothes wet or he wants to be naked. He has a real problem with dry clothes. He will just pour water all over him then have a meltdown if I try and change him. He doesn't use his saliva so much anymore because he's discovered he can reach other water sources but when he did he done it so much he would get sore round his chin down to his chest

Alk19 · 10/11/2021 07:41

Aww thanks for that I didn't know wether I should be worried but after reading and researching seems quite common Thankyou! X

Alk19 · 10/11/2021 08:52

@Listenkid I'd keep calling they don't make records of your calls as far as I'm aware x

Princess23 · 10/11/2021 09:43

Hi is anyone waiting on mandatory reconsideration from this start of October x

Lrc11 · 10/11/2021 09:51

Yeah I am

Lrc11 · 10/11/2021 09:51

But mine is because they granted mrc due to not having night needs which was a lie. Her night needs are worse than her day needs

Lrc11 · 10/11/2021 09:52

Mine also wasn't start of October it was received the 29th

Princess23 · 10/11/2021 10:17

It's a joke I put in for it for my 2 kids one has sensory autism adhd got knocked back for him and my daughter has bowel problems under hospital and all specialist and they got refused said they dont need more care than children there age so just waiting on mandatory reconsideration for the one with autism as haven't put one in for my daughter as yet x

Princess23 · 10/11/2021 10:22

Yes everything they put in the refusal letter was a lie dontvtgink they read through them properly somethings going on I should definitely be on it for my little boy he dosent sleep am all all night with him jumping about screaming running round batters the other kids smashes everything he gets his hand on arguing with the neighbour's over the noise as he has the house up constantly it's just so hard really is think it depends who's desk they land on x

Jneill2021 · 10/11/2021 10:37

Anyone heard back on new claims round bout 20th Sept, ino it's only like 7 weeks but just wondering ? X

Lrc11 · 10/11/2021 12:56

My daughter got lrm but I put in for MR cause she can barely walk and we are at the hospital investigating it. They contradicted themselves in the night time needs also as it states 3/4 times per night or prolonged period to settle which I specifically put on my claim that is the case for her due to her incontinence which is a direct result of her anxiety disorder. They don't read them all the way through I don't think

Lrc11 · 10/11/2021 12:57

Also does anyone know if you continue to receive payment while awaiting a MR decision??

Princess23 · 10/11/2021 16:42

Yes u still recieve your payment x
