@Alk19 that’s not good. Isnt that the whole point of the journal? 😩
I hope it’s sorted soon

Mummy2boys1520 · 13/10/2021 12:27

@Alk19 I rang UC today, the lady just told me it with the decision maker and that it, it will be done when it done and that with covid and everyone claiming for everything it's taking longer and it she said it could be after Christmas but they don't know with the back log

Princess23 · 13/10/2021 12:47

Nmhx
Made up for u hun did u have much evidence with your mandatory reconsideration just waiting on mine no as it was same time as u but I sent all the evidence I had originals like an idot and they said they haven't received it so looks like mine will be refused again x

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 12:49

@Mummy2boys1520 they chat so much sh1t it's unbelievable my friend who lives down the road from me reported hers a month before me and it took them 2 weeks to settle hers another woman I know was done in 2 days they can be so rude can't the I got a lovely woman today thankfully x

Mummy2boys1520 · 13/10/2021 13:10

@Alk19 I honestly don't think they know then she was talking about if you have any advances or if you owe them anything they will take what you owe from that first then give you what is left. But like I said to her I don't have any advance or owe them anything. But I said it would be bad if I did as no one told me any of that

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 13:16

@Mummy2boys1520
No that's wrong they can't do that I can't believe they get away with saying these sort of things even if you did have an advance that's debt management who deal with that and a back payment is totally different and doesn't go through debt management x

Mummy2boys1520 · 13/10/2021 13:18

@Alk19 that's what they told me on the phone, once it's been through the decision maker it gets passed to the dept management and they take what you owe them apparently and then you have what's left but like I said to the lady no one even told me that so I'm glad I don't have any advanced or anything

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 13:21

@Mummy2boys1520
Omg that's so bad they don't tell you that I'm same I don't have anything but I know someone who was repaying a budgeting loan and they didn't take it from her so I genuinely think it's a scaremongering tactic being used it's money owed to you in the first place Confused

Mummy2boys1520 · 13/10/2021 13:23

@Alk19 the lady I spoke to was lovely and she just said that what happens so who know I don't think anyone will know until it finally get pay to us

Ltb17 · 13/10/2021 13:30

Hi, my forms were scanned in on 13th August so I'm almost at 9 weeks wait time. Today I received more evidence to support the claim I put in, it's the report from the paediatrician which states he's been accepted onto the wait list for an autism diagnosis and that he should be treated as having autism and that he has gdd and is significantly behind his peers. I'm guessing it's getting very close to the decision being made on his claim so does anyone think it's worth sending the report in, I'm just not sure they will even see it before his decision gets made.

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 13:48

@Ltb17
Personally I would still send them in it will get scanned straight onto your claim and if it is unsuccessful then it saves you waiting longer to send them in x

Ltb17 · 13/10/2021 13:52

@Alk19 yeah I do think that may be for the best, thank you. I'm convinced it will be rejected to be honest, only evidence I had available at the time was a letter from the school, reports from health visitor and gp. I don't think it's enough.

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 13:54

@Ltb17
My sons was awarded I sent a doctors report SALT report and a supporting letter from my health visitor he was awarded mrc back in august so there's hope X

Ltb17 · 14/10/2021 06:29

@Alk19 oh that's good to hear, thank you. I'll keep my fingers crossed then.

Lrc11 · 14/10/2021 13:18

I called today, still no decision made and they are saying 12 weeks now. It's getting ridiculous

stressedandwaiting · 14/10/2021 13:33

Hi everyone, new to posting but have been watching the thread for a while. Our form was scanned 5th august and still waiting too, feel like I can't do anything with my days because I'm forever sat staring hoping for a text!

Ltb17 · 14/10/2021 13:33

@Lrc11 what dates were yours scanned? I called this morning about sending in extra evidence and was told should have a decision this week or next at the latest.

Lrc11 · 14/10/2021 13:42

@Ltb17 mine was scanned 6th August. I called last week was told it was imminent but I sent extra info in anyway. Called today and still no decision, guy said it could be anything up to 12 weeks now due to backlog

Lrc11 · 14/10/2021 13:43

It's the worse thing ever. Not knowing whether or not you have to go through all this again. It's a bloody nightmare

Ltb17 · 14/10/2021 13:46

@lrc11 yeah I'm 13th August. He put a note on file telling them I was sending in extra evidence, he said it should hopefully get seen before decision is made, but that it was with decision maker now. Its really frustrating, would rather just know so I can be prepared to go through it all again

Alk19 · 15/10/2021 11:14

Hi all just a quick message to anyone awaiting carers allowance there on claims from the first week in august at the moment :)

Lrc11 · 15/10/2021 22:31

Has anyone ever had a decision made over the weekend?

Alk19 · 15/10/2021 23:00

@Lrc11 yes I received my text on a Saturday around dinner time x

Boof23 · 16/10/2021 11:15

Hi guys how long has it been taking to hear I haven't heard anything haven't even had a text or letter of receipt but I have rang and my little boy claim was scanned 26th August so will be 8 weeks Thursday, has everyone gone over the 8 week mark, I don't think he will get it but I just want to know now 😂

Ltb17 · 16/10/2021 11:32

@Boof23 I think everyone has gone over the 8 week mark. Mine were scanned 13th August so we've just passed 9 weeks, think they are taking upto 12 weeks at the moment
