I’ve received no text at any point during my application process so far.

I put 2 claims in for my 2 youngest around beginning of June got refused on the both of them didn't receive any tx or anything just kept phoning up which was a pain the time u wait .I think it goes by the person who deals with your claims really if u get a tx or not its a long waiting game and they should give a little tx now an then to keep u informed on the claim probably to much hassle for them .they said mine got refused coz lack of evidence it is an absolute joke I have to in for mandatory reconsideration weeks ago set in extra evidence they have received one lot but the other ones gone missing in the post just gutted I never send them signed for coz haven't got a leg to stand on with that one really as I sent all the letters and proof I had just hoping in get somewhere with the other one especially waiting all this time sorry about big long post x

Lrc11 · 12/10/2021 18:09

I never sent any evidence with mine as i don't have completed reports yet and her CAMHS worker was on annual leave. Did you give phone numbers of people they could call should they need more information? I'm on week 9 and still haven't heard anything. Afraid to phone and find out if am honest xx

Nmhx · 12/10/2021 18:40

@Princess23 mine was refused for the same reason. I did not send any information as I didn’t have any at the time. I was awaiting appointments/assessments. Since then my son was seen by early years inclusion support whom have written information. I have also sent to DWP the observations from nursery and my sons targets and reviews. I wrote a lengthy letter with why I disagreed with their decision also. I asked for MR 03/09. I still have a long wait to go. This whole process has annoyed me so much!

Lrc11 · 12/10/2021 18:56

She's had her diagnosis for Aspergers and severe anxiety disorder but her reports aren't complete cause she is waiting to be seen by a neuropsychologist and psychotherapist so reports don't get complete until everything has taken place. She is attending hospital too but I don't have contact details for the consultant other than her name. It's an absolute ball buster xx

Alk19 · 12/10/2021 19:29

Hi everyone hope your all well and safe has anyone with claims approved already applied to family fund ?

Alk19 · 12/10/2021 19:31

@Mummy2boys1520
Did you hear back of UC? X

Mummy2boys1520 · 12/10/2021 19:33

@Alk19 nope still nothing what about you

Alk19 · 12/10/2021 19:43

@Mummy2boys1520
No still nothing :( it's been passed to a case manager twice now and they said it should be sorted by my next payment but I get my statement tomorrow so we shall see it's a joke honestly I was speaking to someone other day and they got theirs in 2 days of telling them!

Mummy2boys1520 · 12/10/2021 19:45

@Alk19 hopefully it's sorted soon for you, they won't tell me anything all I keep getting told it it will be sorted when it's sorted it's so stupid that they make us wait this long

Alk19 · 12/10/2021 19:48

@Mummy2boys1520

I will let you know tomorrow it is so bad the advisor on the phone even said they don't take this long and I should speak to my local job centre to get my work coach and case manager changed cause I never get any responses haha I let them know 16th august so nearly 9 weeks x

Mummy2boys1520 · 12/10/2021 20:01

@Alk19 I was told from the beginning they are taking long, a one point she even told me how long is a piece of string I think I'll give them a call tomorrow as I don't understand why it's taking so long

Princess23 · 12/10/2021 23:49

Yes hun I every one who are involved and have info I give all names contact numbers to be honest I just think when there is no evidence with the case basically that just lash it to one side dont think they even bother contacting anyone its just so stressful the length of time u wait for the decision all the effort u put into the form and they dont bother to get intouch with any contacts u put on for more evidence I think it's an absolute joke I was proper fuming but just have to wait for mandatory reconsideration now it's just disheartening me know being knocked back in the first place .goodluck anyway hun I would definitely phone up if I was u mine took 8 weeks and 2 days for my decision i would of known only i phoned never received one tx or nothing through the hole process x

My son has been awarded! I woke today to back payment in my account which appears to be MRC. Which I was hoping for. I am finally at peace! I can now get on with sorting out the help and support he needs.

Dazedandconfused28 · 13/10/2021 07:26

I've just had money deposited in my account from DWP, so assume we've been approved! Form scanned on 3rd August, so 10 weeks. Think we've been awarded MRC for our almost 3 year old, who is awaiting an autism diagnosis.

I'm really pleased for you x
lollipopsandrainbows · 13/10/2021 07:45

@Dazedandconfused28 that's great news! My MR was completed on 2nd August and no money in my bank this morning so going to presume I'm a no Sad.

Nmhx · 13/10/2021 09:43

@Dazedandconfused28 thank you and the same to you.

@lollipopsandrainbows mine was a MR also. I filed for MR 3/9. I hope the delay doesn’t mean rejection. 🤞🏼 You get what you and your child needs x

Dazedandconfused28 · 13/10/2021 09:47

I wouldn't assume that - there seem to be huge variances between waiting times. Our first application was rejected, as was MR - but 2nd time I submitted tonnes more evidence including paediatric report, detailed nursery report as well as SALT & a statement from Portage.

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 11:27

@Mummy2boys1520
So nothing on my statement regarding back payment I spoke with someone who's sending it to escalations in decision making today I hope to hear something in next few days instead of getting ignored...

Nmhx · 13/10/2021 11:45

@Alk19 I’m sorry to learn UC are dragging their feet with organising the backdated payment. Hopefully they can sort it out soon.

I have updated my UC claim today to reflect my sons DLA payments. I left a message on the journal asking them to notify and send my details to a decision maker to calculate the backdated payment required. Hopefully they do so without haste.
I will keep you all updated.

Nmhx · 13/10/2021 11:47

@Alk19 just make you aware. It would not say on current award period about backdated payment. The previous awards would be updated to reflect accurately the payments for those dates.
I hope that makes sense.

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 11:51

@Nmhx
It's such a joke I told them 16th august and still nothing hopefully escalations will now act on it now I literally just get ignored on my journal I don't even have a work coach haha

Alk19 · 13/10/2021 11:52

@Nmhx
No I understand that I was just told that it should be rectified before I receive my next statement but it hasn't x
