@Twin93..I know it’s a joke when it’s not just one income it affects but everything else like carers and tax credits that it also effects too ..that makes it a massive drop and they wonder why peoples mental health is on the rise because parents are worrying and losing sleep over things like this x

For them it’s just a number of a piece of paper. They don’t realise the importance of it and the stress of not knowing what’s going to happen until right at the last minute.

Ds expires in November. I posted it back in July to get it out of the way but now I have it hanging over me anyway. Now I know really nothing should change for DS but I don’t trust the system at all

@Hannm123 im also anxious for the decision 12 weeks of waiting. part of me does belive we will be awarded again but on the other hand even with his new diagnosis it still can be declined as it isn't down to that id of rather the decision before his award ends but life is never that easy I suppose. I am going to try again tomorrow hopefully im not waiting til after the award ends

I feel all your pain..I’m a nervous wreck and ring nearly every 2days ..after today I’ve promised myself what will be will be and I’m not ringing up again until at least next week 🤣x

Hi. Been quiet since i got my refusal. Im so angry school have lied and said there are no concers, no special arrangements and no plans in place. I got my MR form today amd statement of reasons. Ive wrote 5 pages of why i dissagree with them. Telling them how school have lied and what has been in place for him. I have very little evidence because the school os shit and failed my son. But i have found an email thread between myself and his tutor which mentions the autism assesment, his anxiety, special arragments being put him place for one to one assemnet presentations so they are not done infront of the whole class.. sencos is mentioned too. Hopefully they will see that school have basically bullshitted. Mine my language. Im just so angry. School said they have no cencerns about his behaviour, but i hada call from a senco about him headbutting the wall while lineing up for inclusion lessons just so he didnt have to interact with anyone 🤬🤬

@UsuallyALurker1 wonder if we are in the same queue as when I called a week and a half ago they said they were on 12th June claims. Glad you finally got a decision.

Just got off the phone and basically a decision hasn't yet been made my award will end the 6th of October but to call back on the 12th and they will look into it for me. I sent my forms off in June. What a joke.

Anyone had any luck with MR after being refused 1st time?

Could anyone advise me where do I send additional information, still waiting for a decision on our first renewal and my 6 year old has been excluded from school today and I have very detailed letter from the school that I wish to send in.

Surely if he has additional needs they cannot exclude him from school?

@Nmhx I thought that but they can by the looks of things hes off til monday! he has a diagnosis of autism and the last 6 months I've continously asked them for help, mainstream school, They get funding for him they havnt helped me and now at 6 hes excluded but the letter thats now been sent is going to get us alot of help and also back up our renewal

Right, he’s off school temporarily. Hopefully the time he’s off allows they to properly risk assess and implement change or drive forward additional support!

On the letter i got sent end of august it says they recived my form 6th August, it will take around 8 weeks after that i am welcome to call. Is it 8 weeks from the date received (6th)?
