@JCM1989 hi when I rang up today (mine was scanned 29th July ) she said they was sending texts owt either way just to let people know that a decision has been made and then I had to ring up and find owt , she said the Tx wouldn’t say either way but just that a decision had been made ..she was lovely to be fair but I thought what’s the point in that lol. X

Nmhx · 27/09/2021 18:18

@JCM1989 I didn’t receive a text. I called for an update and was told my son was not eligible. I then received the letter 5 days later.

Hannm123 · 27/09/2021 19:06

I don’t actually think they give the right information owt as I also heard you only receive a Tx if you’re entitled x

Nic247 · 27/09/2021 20:48

After I called on Thursday, they told me my daughter was awarded, couple hours later got a text and it said it was awarded. Seems like it depends on the person who takes the call on what information you get

Hannm123 · 28/09/2021 13:31

Any news ladies ? X

Kirstie1990 · 28/09/2021 13:46

InterviewTerminated · 28/09/2021 17:52

Kirstie1990 · 28/09/2021 17:59

Nmhx · 28/09/2021 18:22

Nmhx · 28/09/2021 18:48

@Kirstie1990 I can’t lie to you it’s an absolute headache having to wait all over again. I’m really doing my best to hold it together!

Dazedandconfused28 · 28/09/2021 18:49

Hi all, I hope it's ok to join. Our letter was scanned on the 3rd August. It's our second application as our first was refused & the MR was rejected. I've sent lots of evidence with the new application, so ai hope it's successful as I've found the whole process pretty galling to be honest. I'm freelance, so the impact on my work taking our DS to appointments has been huge, and on top of that trying to get him some private support. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you x

Hannm123 · 28/09/2021 18:53

@Kirstie1990.. I know it’s an absolute ball ache but please do put in for the m.r .my little boy went from nothing to high care ..just have a read of the reasons that they state for not getting it and put down the reasons why you should be entitled x

Kirstie1990 · 28/09/2021 18:59

Yeahh im going to as soon as i get statement of reasons il be appealing x

leslie77 · 28/09/2021 19:05

You've prob already done this everyone but I used the cerebra guide both times when claiming for my two dc.
I didn't copy any of it but I read over it a few times, made notes for each question (just bullet points) then wrote my answer out in full in draft form before finally putting it on the application.
I wouldn't say I spend ages doing the forms, but made sure I had a good sized answer for every question even if I felt like I was often repeating myself.

Twin93 · 28/09/2021 19:08

Does anyone have any information on renewals are they letting original awards run out before deciding if your entitled or not im still yet to hear anything and no luck on the phone just keep being told I have til the 6th for a decision, my forms were sent the end of June.

Hannm123 · 28/09/2021 19:16

@Twin93 my friends renewal is up on 16th oct and like you she did hers in June they told her yesterday that they are picking up renewals that run owt that week ..if that helps x

Twin93 · 28/09/2021 19:20

@hannm123 its stressful to think it runs out next Wednesday and there are going to pick it up Monday or Tuesday to decide and then there's waiting for the letter of the decision. Ive had a letter already telling me carers is going to end there seems like there won't be enough time to keep everyone running especially when they have had my forms for 3 months. Bright side if thats the case only one more week before I finally know. Thank you for your help

Nmhx · 28/09/2021 19:21

I used the Contact guide for filling in my form. It doesn’t appear the information I had written was lacking. The reasons I was rejected was I had to evidence for support the claims I’d made and some of the claims they says “was typical of a child his age”
Both of these things I disputed in the letter I wrote back, as comparing my son with his peers at nursery and the other children around us (family and friends) it is very much not typical. I wasn’t aware I could add comparisons which I found on the Cerebra and Advice Now guide. I’m hoping the extra information I’ve provided for the MR will suffice.

It would seem they’re really pulling those purse strings tight!
