I have spoken to them this morning and was told that they are currently dealing with new claims received on 12th July.

@InterviewTerminated when I had rang nearly 3 weeks they had told me the 12th then

@Mumoflewbielew I had sent 3 reports (nursery, pead, SALT & my health visitor filled part of the form out), I did send another 2 on the 10th sept, but those havnt even reach my case yet

Im in the que to speak to them now.

Been told its still with decision maker and should have a decision this week

I phoned and told me still a few days yet x

I sent my sons renewal off the end of June received the 12th of July its due to end 6th october,I havnt had one letter or update I rang and was told I wont hear anything until the week it runs out which is annoying when it was sent with plenty of time for it to be looked at.

I’m still waiting to hear back from MR. When I called on Monday they said takes 4 weeks from when it was registered as a MR which was 3rd sept so only a couple more weeks to go.

I’ve only just found this thread but glad I have as I’m about to make a dla application and I’m nervous.
My daughter has just been diagnosed with autism and global developmental delay. On her consultant letters and assessments it stipulates that it’s severe. That was pretty heartbreaking for me to read. She’s three and non verbal/not toilet trained/practically no understanding or awareness of what’s happening around her and I desperately want to get her more support but as I imagine is the case with everyone here, could use some extra funding.
Am I likely to be turned down? The thought of rejection terrifies me! Like I’m lying somehow or using my child for cash.

@NameChanged15729 my little girl is exactly the same but we have no diagnosis and feel people don’t believe me in some ways but I’ve applied with very little evidence just a letter from her nursery, so I’m hoping to find out very soon as to whether we have been accepted or declined. I was wary of applying at first but if it helps her then I’m happy to do it x

@NameChanged15729 please apply!! My daughter was awarded the first time without even being diagnosed but we had proof from professionals that she had the same problems as your daughter.
I've just got my claim for my second daughter accepted, she had a diagnosis but I had less proof to send off with hers.
Unfortunately I think it does just depend who's desk it lands on as I've heard some people on here saying they got refused but please try. The money makes such a difference to how much I can help my dc.

@Mumoflewbielew I rang up to make sure they had Lucas school details correct wasn’t expecting her to tell me there was an update on my claim and that he had been awarded as of yesterday.. no text x

@Mummyof3boz great news! .. does anyone know what to expect now? I know payments are a Wednesday, would backdated payment be paid the same?

@Nic247 thanks you.. I don’t sorry think the back payment can be anyway the lady told me 3-4 days so I probably think next week sometime but again not sure when u count ur 4weeks from for next payment
