I love strong cheddar with red onion marmalade or tomato relish.
I love cheese but prefer most cheese with crackers, grapes, pickles, relish etc on the side rather than in a sandwich.

Absolutely not gourmet but cheese savoury .. can never find it outside of the north east though.

Granary fresh baked loaf, thick slices with real butter. Good sharp mature cheddar and Branston pickle.

I can't eat this or anything that comes close as too fat and need to lose weight so this is currently my dream meal that has me drooling at the thought.

I hid my breadmaker today so temptation is out of sight 😂

Goodness me no, sorry OP, I can’t stand anything sweet and savoury mixed like cheese and fruit.

Cheese and pickle or cheese and piccalilli. Or a cheese and baked bean toasted sandwich.

Toasties are a whole other ballgame - so many different ways! American style grilled cheese (which is really a fried sandwich, right?), croque monsieur, or good old 80s style toastie machine that cuts the slices into triangles with a shell pattern on the crust - difficult to posh up that one though. Kinda have to just embrace the kitsch maybe. Put a sprig of curled parsley on top

Only ever eaten Camembert baked in breadcrumbs or just in the box to dip bread into…..do you basically spread it on bread to sandwichise it?

I do love a cheddar and salt n vinegar walker crisp sandwich. You're right, it needs to be cheap white sliced bread though, a white crusty cob is my back up bread option. Just doesn't work as well with whole meal or granary, it feels wrong adding anything marginally 'whole foods'.
