@AlCalavicci You should enlist help. Why bother even carrying the little things by yourself? Grin

@UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa , you are right , I wonder if I can get someone to carry me there ( my comfy work boots are still wet so I will have to wear trainers I dont like )

littletinyboxes · 11/09/2021 15:04

For a number of tedious reasons, I found out on Friday evening that my teenage DS (with awkward sized feet and very specific ideas of what he is prepared to wear) needs new school shoes before Monday but he has been out at an activity until now. If I take him to the small shopping centre nearby will they have something suitable or do I need to prepare myself for a trek to the hell that is the big shopping centre 20 miles away?

@littletinyboxes Try the nearby one first for your own peace of mind, but I'm afraid it's going to be a trip straight to (shopping) hell. The sooner you get it over with, the better!

Ah, I see you've had a name change since I was last here, Nostradonna. Did you see that coming? Please, can you tell me if my DH is going to pass his apprenticeship exams? He's working very hard but struggles with writing.

@Fetchthevet Yes, I did know I would eventually be known as Nostradonna.

Your DH will pass his exams. He just needs to stick to the preparations until the very end. He's got this!

@HerRoyalRisesAgain

Why is my 12 ywar old a pain in the arse?
@HerRoyalRisesAgain The general answer is just down to being a preteen. About the specific arsey antics lately, it's because of the adjustment back to school. The issues should fade on their own in about six to seven years.

@HerRoyalRisesAgain Maybe it's time for the very useful parenting book How to Talk So Kids Stop Being Arses and Be an Arse So Kids Stop Talking. I think there's a Kindle version.
