Apparently the queen is considering taking legal action to stop the verbal attacks on the royal family.

Hypocrisy is always funny

You must be in hysterics then at the antics of PA and the RF then!

This finding everything funny is very peculiar

MummyJ12 · 26/08/2021 16:23

Has anyone said they don't think Harry will ' sling mud'?
Yes @KidneyBeans, Plumtree391 said this on page 19, in response to my post. A ridiculous comment I agree.

Oldbutstillgotit · 26/08/2021 16:24

@ KidneyBeans

The expression has definitely been used on these threads but I can’t be bothered scrolling though the hundreds of comments at the moment .
My question is still - what is he going to write about given the reported bidding war and large advance ? I agree that none of us know the detail but what do we think ?

Yawnarama.

Everyone (well, apart from Fergie or the Queen, maybe) agrees that Andrew is a boorish creep. Nothing to see here.

Tirelessly saying “What about PA?” as an answer is lazy. Although PA’s tv interview was comedy gold. I was hooting at people’s comments on Tripadvisor about the Woking Pizza Express. Some real wits out there.

Marmaladeagain · 26/08/2021 16:30

kidney if you really are asking me "compared to Andrew" - feel free to advance search what I've said. They're separate people and separate circumstances. I don't base whatever has happened in the world by referring it back to Andrew as a starting point Grin that again would be a rather linear approach to trying to form an opinion.

I'm not. I was making the point that there are more pressing challenges for the Queen right now. Actual evidence-based ones. Rather that creative writing and supposition.

I'd've thought if you were that concerned for her you'd not be supporting H&M's activities by following them so closely

Guess they're too hilarious for you to resist though

Marmaladeagain · 26/08/2021 16:46

did Andrew have a book out this month? I think that's what the speculation's about and why Scobie is around town with his insights.

So you've given up on worrying about what I post and now worrying about what the Queen should be doing. I guess maybe you care a little more than you purport really about what people discuss about H&M.

Roussette · 26/08/2021 16:49

did Andrew have a book out this month?

No, he was too busy skulking up at Balmoral and then hotfooting it back to Windsor, whilst trying to avoid being served lawsuit papers on his involvement with trafficked girls.

derxa · 26/08/2021 16:58

Grin Sorry but I'm howling at Andrew having a book out this month.

Blossomtoes · 26/08/2021 17:04

Oh, has he come back from Balmoral?

Roussette · 26/08/2021 17:07

Yes, he's back in Windsor. He was up at Balmoral 10 days apparently. Maybe he left in the dead of night but 3 SUVs with personalised numberplates in convoy is a bit of a dead giveaway...

What happens with Andrew is largely out of her hands

Whose, the Queen's?

I wouldn't quite say that, given the influence she has and the past form for meddlng in legal issues

Why the fuck do they think anyone in the world cares about their butthurt.
We have all been through the mill with covid, no end of lives lost, jobs lost, mental illness, homes lost plus Brexit.
Their poor little me attitude is right down at the bottom of my priority list.

There's a brief summary of The Royal Family and legal action in a BBC article. I could see why the legal action was needed in those cases. Is there anything specific where you thought if was meddling?
Marmaladeagain · 26/08/2021 18:10

Honestly, I go to bed praying I could wake up as charming as the poster above Grin so determined to defend some wealthy celebrities they post rude comments to other posters. Please god: make me as nice and kind as that.

You are reading this wrong. I don’t think people are defending Harry and Meghan because they are wealthy people. We are pointing out the injustice and double standards people like you are applying to them. If Harry and Meghan were poor nobodies I would still be bothered by the victimisation of these two.

You seem to think people are defending them per se but it is the hypocrisy and unrelenting and unprecedented abuse that drives people like you that irks people like me. Hatred is poison.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 26/08/2021 18:16

BringBackThinEyebrows posting in haste, but the obvious example would be HM's ability to veto legislation which affects her - used for all manner of things, not least to hide her shareholdings

Then, of course, there's what happened with Burrell ...

Blossomtoes · 26/08/2021 18:19

@Why2why, if you can’t see how completely unacceptable your post was, there’s frankly no hope for you. It was a disgrace.

Yes. Perhaps I've been watching too much on the news today. People being killed by terrorists. Families wading through fucking sewage to try and escape a murderous regime. Harry and Meghan count your bloody blessings!

Complete non-sequitur

I've no idea how me posting with reference to the Queen indicates that I care what people discuss about H&M ? Confused

Where in the article does it indicate they do or that they are the source of the story? Confused

Criticise away but at least try and criticise them for things they've actually done.
