Apparently the queen is considering taking legal action to stop the verbal attacks on the royal family.

@Pixxie7

This thread is not about PA, it is about the RF and H and M.
However they are intertwined.

Cannot discuss H&M without wondering if it's all just a distraction from the real issue of andrew.

KidneyBeans · 23/08/2021 07:28

@Theunamedcat

Trymp and Clinton etc went to the island with the trafficked women they were knee deep with him too the law suit is a civil matter and if I had a choice I would sue the royal family over trump anyday they woukd rather pay you off trump will drag you through court
Fortunately the legal system works on evidence rather than just your opinion.

There is evidence to support VG's allegations against PA

I don't see how how your thoughts on Trump etc are relevant to the Royal family 🤷‍♀️

Is PA not part of the RF then?

Must just be awfully coincidental timing. Totally unpredictable

Oh wait ...

The Queens legal counsel is shit hot, I am sure Harry at least must be wondering is his book of truth will ever see the light of day.

Roussette · 23/08/2021 07:34

The article is hilarious.

Amazing that 'royal sources' and 'royal insiders' know everything about Harry and Meghan yet when it comes to Andrew they are mysteriously quiet and not forthcoming. Funny that.

Anyone would think it was a distraction!! Surely not!

tigger1001 · 23/08/2021 07:34

I would love to know what Harry's views on Andrew are.

Roussette · 23/08/2021 07:35

Yes but they are a bit busy on 'other matters related to another member of the RF' at the moment. Grin

The silence on Andrew speaks volumes.

all AnnuciataZ@ there is no evidence that she isn’t.

The Queen believes Andrew when he says he is innocent. What kind of mother would she be if she forced him to speak to investigators knowing this could put him at risk. Overall the Queen has been an excellent Queen but failed when it has come to her children. As for prince Harry, she has treated him extremely well considering.

stepupandbecounted · 23/08/2021 07:42

I am looking forward to next year's celebrations in the UK and I am glad they won't be overshadowed by H&M.

countrytown · 23/08/2021 07:45

How many of us wouldn’t do anything we can to protect our children rightly or wrongly.

If my dc had done what PA had? Nope I would not be protecting him & certainly not if I was the Queen.

newnortherner111 · 23/08/2021 07:48

I don't believe most of what is said in The Sun, never read it, remember how it swallowed the lies told by some people from South Yorkshire Police in 1989.

My overall feeling is one of sadness how it has become, and that Archie and Lilibet may not see their great grandmother.

countrytown · 23/08/2021 07:49

Yes let's just brush that under the carpet & concentrate on the real bad guys 😆

Speak for yourself!

No I wouldn't do anything I can to protect an abuser even if they were offspring.

SquirryTheSquirrel · 23/08/2021 07:54

There have been many books that painted the RF in a bad light, written by people who were, to various degrees, on the inside, including Diana's Andrew Morton book, Paul Burrell's memoirs. The revelations created a storm but weren't especially long-lived. The Queen is entitled like anyone else to take action over libel but I doubt in the long term anyone would be that bothered about such a book. It's Andrew the Queen should be worrying about, not Harry.

Roussette · 23/08/2021 07:59

@SquirryTheSquirrel

So agree with that. Sarah Ferguson wrote an explosive book criticising the Establishment, the men in grey suits, how it was all run. That's history now, along with Diana's book, as this book whatever is in it ... will also be.

However, what is hanging around over the RF with PA is a whole other level of problem, and that will be far far more damaging to the RF than anything H&M say in a book that's not out for a year. And this is because the public are more or less united in their disdain for PA. That isn't the case with H&M whatever posters on here like to think.

Good, if it's true. They need to fuck off to obscurity.

If she got him to speak to the investigators she would be a decent parent. This just reeks of cover up.

If you don't think the royal family know far more than they let on about what Andrew has got up to, you are being very naive. The queen will have known for years what he has been up to.

If my children were friends with a convicted sex offender, I would be very disappointed and upset with them. If I thought for a second they were involved in it, I would be wanting to protect the innocent.

3Br1tnee · 23/08/2021 08:14

There are many accusations of rape against the Clintons. Both of them. A lot of the accusers have mysteriously ended up dead though..

Really? Gosh. Just had a quick Google Juanita Broaddrick comes up and a 19 yo student when he was at Oxford.

But people ended up dead. Can you elaborate please?

Tuscancat · 23/08/2021 08:40

I also think it is funny how they've been trying to wheel fergie out at every opportunity- her book interviews have all been attempts to whitewash PA. I don't think people will be so easily distracted. H&M and an old duchess are really nothing compared to the Queens son being taken to court for trafficking and raping a young woman.
What is happening with Gisele whatsisname now?

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 23/08/2021 08:52

This is where it gets tricky for Harry having announced he's writing his own book. With press reports they can say they've been misrepresented and with Finding Freedom they pretended they'd had no involvement. Once your name is on the cover you're accountable for what's in it. And it does potentially conflict with all the things they say about the importance of privacy.
