Peanut butter on a jacket Envy not envy

IncyWincyGrownUp · 19/08/2021 22:52

Leftover bolognese. I always make enough ragu for there to be leftovers in the fridge.

ThePlantsitter · 19/08/2021 23:19

All you people saying cheese savoury - I know it's delicious on a jacket bit what exactly is it?!

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 19/08/2021 23:25

Cheese, beans and coleslaw

Scoop middle out and mash together with corned beef and sweetcorn then put back in potato skins and grill till bubbly

Our local jacket taty van does a sweetcorn salad it's basically just sweetcorn black pepper and some Mayo type dressing but it's bloody amazing

Favourite at the moment is just a shed load of butter salt and black pepper

justjuggling · 20/08/2021 00:49

Cheese, curried beans and crispy bacon

elp30 · 20/08/2021 00:54

Brisket, low and slow with butter, cheese and spring onion
Husband says, chili

toughdaay · 20/08/2021 01:01

Butter, blue cheese, fried mushrooms and bacon.

Snugglybuggly · 20/08/2021 01:06

Prawn Mayo

Needhelp101 · 20/08/2021 01:31

Butter, cheese, salt, black pepper and a big blob of Marmite.
Caitlin Moran actually wrote a whole column on this.

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 20/08/2021 01:46

Thai green prawns!

treenu · 20/08/2021 19:29

Tuna Mayo with finely chopped onion

Crispy bacon, sweetcorn and cheese

Chilli and cheese

Xigris · 21/08/2021 16:09

Baked sweet potato is also amazing. I like it with hummus and an avocado salad.

I make a really nice chunky coleslaw with wholegrain mustard and mayonnaise. That’s amazing on a jacket potato

rookiemere · 21/08/2021 16:14

Thanks to you lot I bought a humongous baking potato and had it for lunch with Tescos cheese and onion filling pot, which I have to report is a very poor cousin for cheese savoury.
Someone asked what was in cheese savoury I think it's cheese, mayo and chopped spring onions.

SingingSands · 21/08/2021 16:16

Haggis with a dollop of soured cream on top.

Belledan1 · 21/08/2021 19:19

Fllings sound lovely. I got some sweet potatoes in my magic bag on too good to go. First magic bag I ever had was pleased with it. Was from the coop. Doing a beef dinner tomorrow thought try them out on fussy family. Shall I just mash it? Tried them ages ago on them but they were not keen.

rookiemere · 21/08/2021 19:30

@Belledan1 I usually chop sweet potatoes and do them as big chips in the oven. I find them too sweet if they're mashed or used as baked potatoes.

MrsSkylerWhite · 21/08/2021 19:32

Cornish butter

Belledan1 · 21/08/2021 19:36

Thanks Rockiemere. Date up on them but sure they will last until monday. I do them with burgers or chicken in wedges

Crunchymum · 21/08/2021 19:38

For me it's got to be Greek salad

Or bolognese

Or chilli

Or cheese, beans and coleslaw (cheese then beans then more cheese then coleslaw)

God I'm hungry Chinese takeaway on route but i'd prefer a jacket spud now

Crunchymum · 21/08/2021 19:38

(Butter isn't even mentioned as that is standard base for any topping on my house!!)

knittingaddict · 21/08/2021 19:44

Camembert and bacon.

knittingaddict · 21/08/2021 19:44

Chilli and cheese and butter.

Never heard of it before this thread, but google is your friend. Popular in the north east apparently.

knittingaddict · 21/08/2021 19:49

@toughdaay

Butter, blue cheese, fried mushrooms and bacon.
I'd forgotten about that one. Used to have it all the time, but rarely buy blue chesses these days. It is a lovely filling.
AlwaysLatte · 21/08/2021 19:50

Good butter and grated extra strong crunchy cheddar, with salt and shredded gem lettuce. Yummy!
