I will ask for advice, and you have to answer using only a quote from somewhere else on Mumsnet. Then you can ask for the next piece of advice. (best to quote the advice question you're answering in case there's cross-posting)

Can you give them like a 20/80 rule? They can mope for 20% of the time but the other 80 needs to be productive. Learn a new skill or get paid to do housework or aim to get fit enough to pass the army fitness test or do the couch to 5K or whatever. But get them doing something to fill time as they need some focus and direction.
It’s tough but they don’t really have a hard life and need to try to get a bit of perspective.

What is your child's favourite school subject?

It wouldn't cost any money to refer to the Schools Adjudicator but I think it would be a complete waste of time.

Any good tricks to get DD to sleep through the night?

I think crates are better than just beds for being a nice clearly defined space that’s theirs - so if you ever go on holiday with them or they need to be in a different house it’s much easier on them with a crate

it’s probably the rubber washer in the flush assembly. Can easily be replaced on its own, but at the most you’re looking at a new flush assembly, which is not that big a deal.
