Silkiecat is back home and having tuna with tuna water and a cuddle with DS. The pet hotel said Silkiecat really loves tuna. I said to DH did you explain the most important part is the tuna water and he said no poor Silkiecat though I am sure I wrote it on their 10 page form of cat requirements.

Lemons, my MIL and I had the cold lobster roll, with truffled chips and coleslaw. I am a sucker for lobster rolls. . DH had the fish and chips, which I had a taste of. We shared a starter of fried calamari. Everything was really good, and MIL picked up the not insignificant check.

I've just done a two-mile walk and am getting ready to jump on the bike for a bit, then a shower and probably off to church.

Hello to Silkiecat - from Kobold and Floh, who are still off with me for keeping to their feeding instructions.

I have just sent off the updated info for Kindergeld, everybody is entitled to while DC are in full time education. Now there is only DD's BaföG (student finance) left to do, but for that she needs our tax return and it's not been done yet.

Silkiecat sends hisses to Kobold and Floh as she is friendly like that and she sympathises with their food problems, cats should always be incharge of food decisions according to Silkiecat.

DH has just gone to the shop and Silkiecat gave her first howl. Bit unreasonable of him to go out only half an hour after bringing her home and just leave her with the 3 unchosen staff. Though that pesky large rat rabbit isn't back yet.

Silkie If DH decides to do the tax return , we can go on. I am not the problem, my stuff is ready since 31.01.2021.

DH is off to Vienna on Tuesday (with his new trousers) and I have to do the cooking for a week.

Off to a family party today then holiday tomorrow our first as a family of three.

DS has decided that now is a good time for a snooze 🙈. We may be late for party.

DH and I ran a half marathon this morning - great to do a proper race again. DH still bouncing around talking about going for a walk/ gardening while I am lying down doing MN and reading Montalbano....

That's impressive Ginger Silkiecat is back and has told DD off as DD was prioritising her friends over Silkiecat. Though now DD and DH are here and Silkiecat is happy she has their attention especially she is pleased with DH as he is cooking Silkiecat's lunch a roast dinner though Silkiecat has no idea why he thinks it necessary to add vegetables, a giant meat and gravy with a yorkshire to lick is perfect.

We have some lemon tarts and I have tested one to check they are good.

Been messaging a lot re schools for DS.

I read a text from one of my brothers. The one who plays the organ i the church for weddings and funerals. He said he had done two weddings and in between, tended the headstone (where our parents' ashes are buried).

I was in a silly mood so I came back with " So you married two couples, then buried them...You Bastard!". (like the South Park characters say when Kenny is killed). Only I sent it to the wrong person. My Godson texted back "Are you alright, do you want to talk about it?" Lot of explaining to do there!!!!

Silkie We don't have this take away tradition - and - more importantly - DS and DD have 'texture' problems, so it would be a complete waste of money.
But I can make lots of things DH (being from the French border) would not consider eating. A calm yay for me!

That's good you can have different things Prok DH eats pretty much everything being French but DS is quite restricted so our meals get quite repetitive but luckily for me DS loves Chinese takeaway.

DH is just fetching the silkies and the rabbit.

DD is at another party. DS starts school again tomorrow.

Had a very calm and peaceful afternoon in the woods with family, it was all green and dappled sunlight and very lovely. Back to earth now with a bump, must get everyone ready for the first Monday of the new term.

Silkiecat is just playing the piano which probably means DS left the remains of his roast dinner on the top of the piano.

Silkiecat just got cross with DH. Not only did he bring the rabbit and silkies back but he is now on the phone to France and has been for an hour, his selfishness never ends. DD is comforting Silkiecat after she howled a superangry superloud howl at DH.

Wartycat very annoyed yesterday as I dared to try to cross my legs while he was sitting on my knee. Clearly this is not correct procedure.

Silkiecat had similar issues. I suggested to dh he bring her to our bed and she was very purry at this then he turned on his side, very rude. But then Silkiecat discovered we have cat tables next to our bed oka bedside tables great for cats to be higher than their staff. I awoke to this very cute.

Silkiecat was happily purring and cuddling on the bed then dh lured her away carrying a tuna tin. She was slightly annoyed he was making her walk downstairs for the tuna as that was a lot of effort and tuna in the bed was preferable but sometimes dh is a bit stupid.

@Sunbird24 one of my friends is intolerant to a food colouring that’s used in chorizo and also in Aperol. Apparently it’s not uncommon (I mean, Aperol is a pretty violently unnatural colour. No wonder it isn’t good for you.)

The dog is trampling all over me. Pretty sure he thinks I’m just another piece of furniture.

The silkies were being very noisy which means they are hungry. Normally ds always feeds them and gives vast quantities so I was . Asked DH and he said he forgot to bring silkies food home last night from pet hotel but thought they could manage until lunch when he would buy more. They did sound like they could skip breakfast so I googled what else they can eat and veg and oats are fine so they have that and are now very quiet and stuffed. Just hear birds chirping. Cat is sitting by me and glaring at dh when he appears as he is being selfish again and working, she could sit next to him but is trying to make a point. She just called him upstairs and he came, she is reasured he is still well trained and is going with him.

Did is did not sound

Silkiecat has just come back close to me on the beam, awaits her calling dh in 5 mins to get him up the stairs, lots of staff training to be done today it appears. Its dh she wants but she is trying to make him jealous.

Silkiecat must obviously think you all have become completely (whats the word?) feral? when not properly supervised.

Another first: DH has been to a proper barber (Arabic) to habe his beginner's beard trimmed. He will go again as he loves to see a job well done. (I mean there's him + his scissors and then there's a trained hairdresser with 3 years of training, exams, 25 years of experience and proper tools)

My occupational health report has come back saying I’m fit to work in my new job. I’m only leaving my current job because I’m so shit at it 🤫
