Mr Mouse sadly lost his short battle with cancer 2 days ago.

I am absolutely heartbroken and lost and missing him so badly.

Will this pain ever stop?

I'm so, so sorry. Thanks

I'm not really good with words, but I hope you have RL support, and that you can, in time, take comfort in the memories you have. Your description of Mr Mouse's face when he saw you walking in was so lovely, I'm sure it'll be something you look back on with love.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I read your previous two threads and was so pleased to hear about your wedding. Your DH sounded lovely.

The pain will feel a bit less raw in time but if you need a handhold anytime, please carry on posting. Lots of us are here to listen and send you love. Flowers

3Britnee · 10/07/2021 17:15

@Babdoc

ghostmouse, may I send you a hug, and share some wise words that my church minister said to me when my husband died suddenly aged 36? He said “Don’t let his death be more than his life”. In other words, don’t let the shock and grief of his death block out all your happy memories of the love you shared - you still have all of those, and nothing can take those away. In time, the pain will ease and become more bearable, I promise, even though it doesn’t feel like that right now. And as I often say to the newly widowed, there is comfort in the words carved in stone beside the Water of Leith in Edinburgh: “Grief is not forever. But love is.” May God hold you in His hands and console you until you and your husband are reunited in heaven.
That is just beautiful.
CrepuscularCritter · 10/07/2021 17:33

I am so sorry, Mrs mouse. We all hoped there would be so much more time for you both. I hope you have RL support alongside the words here. Sending a virtual hand hold for the days to come and thinking of you and yours.
