So I have rescued a kitten

I think it was dumped - it was with another kitten that was dead.

It’s small but it’s eyes are open and it’s able to walk around (quite confidently!) so I think maybe 5 weeks or so?

It’s black.

I’ve fed it mushed up food with kitten milk and it has food and water and a blanket and a cuddly toy in an old dog cage.

Also made up a litter tray from an old baking tray and put litter in it.

I will of course take it to the vet tomorrow but do I need to feed it in the middle of the night?

It’s currently trying to climb up the cage and it’s been playing with a cat toy so I think it’s ok in itself.

(Don’t worry - I am a responsible pet owner - it’ll be neutered once it’s old enough too)

Oh she looks like my girl when I first got her. I hve a real soft spot for black cats. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would dump any animal and leave them for dead. What a poor helpless little thing, and to be left with another cat that was dead is just awful.

How gorgeous, reminds me of when I met my own black cat as a tiny bundle of fuzzy fur... he is an incredibly affectionate lap cat who also thinks he's a dog and comes when called. I call him my 'magic cat', black cats are special! 🥰

So it’s a wee boy and about 6 weeks old.

Has been dewormed etc and is booked to go back in 2 weeks for injections and chip.
