So I have rescued a kitten

I think it was dumped - it was with another kitten that was dead.

It’s small but it’s eyes are open and it’s able to walk around (quite confidently!) so I think maybe 5 weeks or so?

It’s black.

I’ve fed it mushed up food with kitten milk and it has food and water and a blanket and a cuddly toy in an old dog cage.

Also made up a litter tray from an old baking tray and put litter in it.

I will of course take it to the vet tomorrow but do I need to feed it in the middle of the night?

It’s currently trying to climb up the cage and it’s been playing with a cat toy so I think it’s ok in itself.

It’s playing all around the bed. It’s a really friendly wee thing.

Lol yes they're messy at that age! I hand reared 2 from two weeks, they're just so gorgeous when they're small

Where did you find it? Did you wait around for mum? She may have been a stray/feral moving her babies

Did wait for mum. A whole day and Overnight. It was still where we first saw it and the dead one was still next to it (we wrapped the wee dead one up in an old towel and buried it)

Plus it’s friendly. It’s not feral - it doesn’t run away or hiss it wants to cuddle and be played with.

We got the tiniest black dkitten from a rescue back in November.. Taken her all this time to brave our ddogs and still is tiny! Feisty little thing. Bet yours is too.
