That was a poor do @BorderlineHappy but hurrah for a takeaway!

In the end her friend’s mum dropped her off home, so I didn’t need to avoid people @@73kittycat73

I’m feeling absolutely exhausted! Can’t believe how tired I am! I’ve an hour before I’m back at work - so need a nap but I daren’t!!

BorderlineHappy · 03/02/2022 18:24

I emailed the restaurant and they have given me a €50 voucher.
Will I risk it

PaperMonster · 03/02/2022 20:42

@BorderlineHappy - think I’d chance it.

@PaperMonster yes i think i will.
Maybe a quiet night certainly not Valentines 😂

WreckTangled · 04/02/2022 08:34

I would chance it too. Love a freebie.

Progress pictures can be much more beneficial than weighing, especially if getting a bad scale result ruins your day or makes you want to give up. I've stopped weighing myself, I don't appear to have lost any weight but it was making me miserable.

73kittycat73 · 04/02/2022 11:46

I hope your work day went well PaperMonster and you weren't too wiped out after?
Ooh, nice one BorderlineHappy. Smile You could give it one more go? Definitely agree to go at a quiet time.
Thanks WreckTangled. I was going to weigh monthly but have bought a weight loss journal so think I will do it weekly. I hear what you are saying though. I will also go via measurements and pictures/photos (Once monthly for the pics.).
I well and truely fell off the wagon yesterday, My mum replenished her bowel of chocolates and I sit right next to it! I also had a few (More than a few! Grin ) Skinny bars and it my mum's birthday today and my brother bought round a vegan cake for her yesterday. It was covered in cream, which my mum really doesn't like so gave it to me to eat. It was OK. Looked fantastic but tasted pretty bland.
Realised later on I felt anxious. It is directly linked to eating chocolate and sweet things for me. (I do still get anxiety without them, but nearly as much.) I just get some 'good' days under my belt and forget how anxious and crappy eating the sweet stuff makes me feel. Still, reading a new book, Stop Eating Your Heart Out: The 21-Day Program to Free Yourself from Emotional Eating: The 21-Day Program to Free Yourself from Emotional Eating (How to Stop Overeating, for Fans of Brain Over Binge) so will see if that helps.

Thanks. Totally wiped out here. My colleague had it too at the same time and is the same!

WreckTangled · 05/02/2022 06:56

Paper I had the post Covid exhaustion for another 2 weeks or so after my 10 days. I'm still feeling exhausted now but think that might be work etc. The post Covid one is different to normal I think, it's like you just feel like you really need sleep rather than you're just lacking energy. Hard to explain but it did feel different.

Work was hard this week I went to bed at 7:30 last night. It was needed I could barely function!

73kitty that sounds sensible. I do think that weighing even daily can be a huge benefit but it's personal for how it makes you feel. I fell off the wagon yesterday too due to being stressed and tired. Back ok it today Smile

BorderlineHappy · 06/02/2022 07:35

@73kittycat73 I'm taking a leaf out of your book and weighing daily.
I've put 1/2 stone on
I don't like it.

I've started to snack late at night and go over my calories.

Have to get back in my proper headspace again.
I need to do this.

PaperMonster · 06/02/2022 09:11

You can do this @BorderlineHappy - we’re right behind you. Pushing you away from the snacks.

Thanks @WreckTangled. My eyes are so sore too. Woke up yesterday not feeling too bad but went to OH’s sister’s house where it was cold and I started to feel dreadful. Came home and went to bed!!

I understand about the headspace BorderlineHappy. Last week I was so determined and really felt I could do it. This weekend has gone to pot, cakes, biscuits, etc. Sad Any pounds I lost I'm sure I have gained back. Still, am starting again tomorrow. (Never stop stopping!) and am trying to gently get myself into eating two pieces of fruit a day as a start. That way I'm not focusing on depriving myself of anything and I can see it as self care instead. I found these stickers I thought would be quite motivational. Smile We can do this together!
Sorry to hear you are still feeling so wiped out PaperMonster. How are your eyes today? It was really cold here a couple of nights ago. I'm trying not to put the heating on as long as possible (To save for when the price hikes start.) so went to bed with my duvet on, a blanket on top of that, my pjs and some thick socks. I was still cold! lol I hope you start feeling better asap. Flowers
How are you feeling today WreckTangled? Did you manage to sleep when you went to bed? Or did you just chill for a bit? I hope you feel more rested today. Flowers
