Oh and bloomin well done on confronting your neighbour!!

73kittycat73 · 18/12/2021 20:22

I think once you brush your teeth you won't want to eat.

Didn't work last night. Xmas Blush Xmas Grin Thank you for the advice though. I don't usually get too tired at night/evening so am going to bed wide awake. I've always been a night owl. If I waited till I was sleepy it would be anything form 1am onwards. Didn't eat any chocolate in the day today though, and didn't feel that crushing tiredness. I did get a good few hours in last night though so don't know if it was because of that I didn't get tired, or if it was a combination of both. I shall refrain from chocolate in the day again tomorrow and see what happens then.
Ouch, how are you feeling now PaperMonster? Xmas Grin I hope you let off a load of steam. I imagine you are off now till January? You can hopefully have a nice rest. And thank you on the well done. Haven't heard one bang since...He has however been performance sneezing all day. He does that because if you say to someone, 'My neighbour has been sneezing too loud,' it sounds unreasonable and petty, which he well knows. He's so loud that you can hear him at the opposite side and end of the flat. Never once heard him sneeze like that outside, or in front of anyone else... Anyway, enough about that slime ball.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend (And not too fuzzy headed! lol). One of my nieces is coming over tomorrow, the other one is out clothes shopping. Are you all ready for Christmas yet? I have a few odds and ends to do, like catch the binmen and give them their tip (They are very good to you throughout the year if you tip. Xmas Grin ) but they are not due till Tuesday. Got to sort out the final list for our Christmas grocery shop due on Thursday. Have to put some transfers/nail art on some false nails. I got the nail art transfers from Etsy, they are Christmas ones. I have never worn false nails before (But usually wear my nails long.) so will be a first for me. I'm dreading using the glue to put them on. Usually I just have to look at a tube of superglue and my fingers stick together! (It's not superglue but does give you instructions on what to do if you stick your fingers together...Xmas Shock

Good luck with the nails 🤣🤣

I’m feeling ok today - just tired. Not in school for two weeks but that’s only half of my working week. So I’ve some work every day except Wednesday. But only a couple of hours each day.

We didn’t get our winner for Strictly but either couple were worthy.

Got a family dinner tomorrow to look forward to!

Enjoy your dinner! Sorry your chosen person didn't win Strictly. Do you watch the Christmas day one? Funnily I never have, even though I usually watch the main series.
Here I am up at silly o clock again. Xmas Hmm Am tired but just can't drop off as usual. Will try again in a bit.
Nails have gone out the window. Xmas Grin I did 5 transfers, and as I'm doing mum's and mine, couldn't be arsed with doing 15 more. I needed my glasses to see what I was doing with the transfer and nail, but was out of focus with them on trying to fish the transfers out of the water you are supposed to soak them in. It was too much hassle so I binned the transfers. Still have the nails. Will put them on Thursday night if I decide to use them.
Are you working over Christmas then? I hope you get some time off.

Still awake...Sad

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 19/12/2021 08:52

Oh no @73kittycat73 that’s not so good at being awake. I managed not to wake up at 3am as I have been doing this past week.

We will watch the Christmas Day Strictly but not necessarily on Christmas Day!

I’m full taking the second week of the holidays off - and the work I do have this week is enjoyable anyway, so not a bother anyway. And I’m close enough to home for my daughter to just stay by herself for a couple oh hours.

She’s been so tearful since finishing school - think she’s overwhelmed. She did a reading at church and was very nervous and I think she’s held it together til then on Friday and it’s all coming out now.

Remember my online pal? I was supposed to be meeting him tomorrow as he was passing through where we live, but he’s decided not to stop because of Covid and potential risk of taking it with him! So a bit saddened by that - but understandable.

Have a lovely day with your niece!

WreckTangled · 19/12/2021 08:56

That's a shame paper but agree it's understandable

I was awake from 5:15 too. So annoying.

BorderlineHappy · 20/12/2021 08:24

I woke up today absolutely starvt.
I've had breakfast and my stomach is like a gaping hole.
I know no matter what I eat won't fill it.
Jesus I hate days like theses.

PaperMonster · 20/12/2021 18:17

@BorderlineHappy ugh, those types of days are annoying. Nothing much to report here. Been working, cleaning the house and just done some baking.

73kittycat73 · 20/12/2021 19:44

Hello all. Xmas Smile My niece didn't come round in the end, went to a Winter Wonderland instead. I didn't mind, probably less boring than auntie and nanny, lol. I managed to stay awake all day yesterday. I didn't take a couple of my meds for anxiety though, as they make me sleepy. I didn't eat any chocolate in the day either. I couldn't believe how different the tiredness was though. Usually it's crushing, like I am so fighting to physically to keep my eyes open. Yesterday I was sleepy tired but that was it. I can't believe that a few Quality Street or Celebrations make such a difference!
Still went to bed at 11 as was actually tired. I think I got some sleep and got woken with raging acid reflux. Took Gaviscon but it didn't work. Tried to sleep propped up on some pillows but it didn't make much difference. (TMI coming up.) The reflux kept coming up to the back of my throat and making me cough. I gave up in the end and got up. It was my own fault. I binged on chocolate just before bed. So that's no chocolate in the day, and none at night. But it's Christmas...! Xmas Grin Lol.
How are you all doing with your Christmas prep now?
Sorry your friend cancelled PaperMonster. Sounds like it was for a good reason though. You could have picked it up from him too!
How is your daughter doing now? Much better after some sleep and rest I hope?
Oh, I hope you feel better now to BorderlineHappy. My mum used to say, 'Have you got a hole in your toe?!' When we used to eat a lot. It feels like it on those kind of days doesn't it?! I hope you managed to quell your hunger. Not nice to feel that way.
I hope you slept in longer today too WreckTangled? How's all the course work going? Or is that why you were awake so early, had it on your mind?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 20/12/2021 20:21

We're in Edinburgh Grin got here last night, it's so Christmassy. I've walked 18000 steps today.

I'm not thinking about coursework until after Christmas now.

PaperMonster · 20/12/2021 21:51

Ooooh @WreckTangled how lovely! Enjoy your time there!

Thanks @73kittycat73 she seems brighter today although said she was exhausted this morning when I dropped her off with her cousins whilst I worked. No more tears though. And you know what? I hadn’t even thought about me catching it from him, isn’t that weird?

73kittycat73 · 21/12/2021 19:39

Ooh, have you been to the markets yet WreckTangled? Are you staying till after Christmas day? I hope it snows for you (If you'd like it?) so it can be extra Christmassy. Xmas Grin
18000? Wow! Did you walk all the way there?! lol Good to have a break from the studying too I imagine. Xmas Smile
Aww, glad she is feeling a bit better in herself then PaperMonster. Xmas Smile She can relax and recharge over Christmas? Or is that a silly thing to say?! lol
My older brother came over unexpectedly today. Bought his new girlfriend with him. We have a kind of strained relationship (He'll talk to me if he has to. He doesn't seem to like me much. I think he just never got over the fact I was born! lol Xmas Grin) but he was OK today. They were very lovey dovey. They are coming back for a buffet on Boxing Day.
After asking about how you are all getting on with Christmas prep, my list is getting longer! lol Got 8 things on my list to do on Thursday! (Can't do them earlier, things like getting the shopping delivered then, etc.) Five things left to do on Friday, then my younger brother is coming for Christmas dinner on the big day, and my nieces will be round for a while, then as said older brother on Boxing day, then a cooked from scratch Christmas dinner the day after, then maybe I'll be able to relax! lol

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 21/12/2021 21:34

Goodness me @73kittycat73 you have a very busy Christmas planned! Nice that your big brother brought his girlfriend over - maybe she’s made him more mellow!!

Daughter’s had a lovely day relaxing - I’ve been out for two lots of two hours, both just five minute walks away and she’s just set herself up with phone/iPad/PlayStation plus snacks and a drink and just drawn and created all day!! Tomorrow we’re off to see friends in the morning and then different friends in the afternoon for present swaps so that’s lovely!

WreckTangled · 22/12/2021 02:46

I did 20000 today Shock insane. We're here until Thursday, we've been around the main market but it's pretty generic and very busy.

BorderlineHappy · 22/12/2021 11:46

@WreckTangled that sounds gorgeous, hope you enjoy your stay.
@73kittycat73 I got a Chinese the other night, and fell asleep from overdosing on carbs🤣

PaperMonster · 22/12/2021 16:13

@WreckTangled well done on all those steps!

I’ve had a sausage butty for breakfast - at quite a posh cafe and it was divine! But oh, @BorderlineHappy I envy you that Chinese!

73kittycat73 · 22/12/2021 20:49

Hello everyone. Xmas Smile Aww, it's good your daughter got to rest then PaperMonster. Xmas Smile Yumm, sausage butty...drools Did it have brown sauce on it too? Talking of food, have my Christmas shop coming via Sainsburys tomorrow. Got to get up at 8am as it's coming between 9.30-10. I hope I sleep tonight! I hope all the items arrive, my mum went shopping this morning and said the town was packed, people with trollies full. Hopefully everyone went today so they stock up again for tomorrow.
Blimey WreckTangled, that's a lot of steps! Xmas Shock Shame about the markets, but I hope the rest of your stay is good. Are you in a hotel Or BnB kind of thing? I hope there is room service anyway! Xmas Smile I've never stayed in a hotel before, would love to just to order room service! lol
Aww, I hope you enjoyed it though BorderlineHappy? Xmas Grin We usually get take a way on Christmas Eve. I wanted to go Chinese (Love sweet and sour!) but have been vetoed and we're getting fish and chips instead. Have you got Mylo and Rocco any Christmas presents?

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 23/12/2021 08:15

No brown sauce for me - I was being naughty enough eating the bread! And they were such good sausages!! Filled me up til teatime.

Hairdressers today, hurrah! My hair darkens in the winter and I hate it - it’s so mousy. And I’ve struggled to get an appointment to lighten it as I don’t have enough time between jobs - except on the days the salon isn’t open. So I shall be blonde again today!

And carol singing this evening- Vicar asked last night. So I shall go along! It will be fun!!

My daughter’s still asleep! Wondering how long she’s going to sleep for!

73kittycat73 · 23/12/2021 08:18

Got the shopping email. Four subs, and just one we won't accept (Buttered mash instead of carrot and swede mash.) so all good there. No need for mum to go out and get everything. At least the sprouts were in! Xmas Grin (She eats them, not me.)
Been up since 7:40am, slept OK last night. Xmas Smile Hope you all have a wonderful day, and what ever prep you might be doing, that all goes well. Xmas Smile

73kittycat73 · 23/12/2021 08:22

Oh hi PaperMonster, you weren't there before I posted. I hope you have a lovely time at the hairdressers (Was just having a conversations the other day about how some of them are a bit rough!), I hope you feel fabulous when you go blonde again. I'd love to go pink. Xmas Grin Are you going for highlights or a full head?
Enjoy the carols! I'm quite envious actually. I love carols. Love singing them. Not sure people like to hear me singing them. lol
