Mmm chips. They're the best. Good positive reframing there too.

We went for a walk this afternoon so I got my steps in today which is good as I've been slacking.

I'm getting my hair done tomorrow! Can't wait. I haven't had it dyed for...over four years and almost a year since it was last cut. Will be pricey but never mind.

73kittycat73 · 26/06/2021 11:18

Hi WreckTangled, the chips were lovely, but I found out it is true, carbs leave you hungry and wanting more. Was starving a few hours later and remembered the 181 cal per half tub of Asd'a own ice cream in the freezer. I ate the lot. Blush However, if I shaved down lunch today and tomorrow I should balance it out.
Well done on your walk. Smile I'm trying another walk later too.
Good luck with your hair, I'm sure it will look wonderful. Smile Are you going to a salon, or having it done at home? What style and colour are you going for?
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. The sun is out here atm.

I've kept the length and got balayage done.

Carbs definitely make me crave carbs!

PaperMonster · 26/06/2021 18:05

All good at the dentist for us thanks @73kittycat73!!

Happy haircut @WreckTangled!! Sounds lovely!

Nice day here - there was a cafe thing going on in the village hall so we went. I had a scone. I then went for a walk and saw a bridegroom and all his associated men walking up from where they’d been staying, to the church (that I’d cleaned for the occasion this morning!) On my return there was a gorgeous little car carrying bridesmaids!

I stopped in the village for a chat with some people I’ve not seen for a while and we watched the bride arrive. The sun was shining, the church bells were ringing. It was just a happy afternoon!

73kittycat73 · 26/06/2021 20:17

Sounds lovely PaperMonster. Smile
I ordered some new protein powder with my shopping today and...it tastes so much better! It tastes like really sweet hot chocolate (Maximuscle) and blends a lot better. Sainsbury's did substitute my 20% strawberry yogurt for a 15% raspberry yogurt. Tastes rank. About a hour later got acid reflux so as I don't know which one caused it, I'm going to try them seperately tomorrow. Hope it's the yogurt as it's easier to change that!

"20% and 15% protein. Sorry about that. Blush Grin

@73kittycat73 with your protein powder, do you use it as a meal replacement? The hot chocolate thing caught me eye as I’ve been craving one this week! I’ve never done anything like shakes, so no idea how they work!!

Off out to meet a friend for a walk today - the weather is lovely, so hurrah for that!!

73kittycat73 · 27/06/2021 11:52

No, it's classed as a food supplement. I take it with my lunch. I got it from Sainsbury's but as it's not on own brand, I'm sure you could find it in other shops? [[https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/Product/maximuscle-max-whey-protein-powder-chocolate-flavour-480g Here's]] the Sainsbury's link.

Lol! Thanks for that!! OH does the main shopping, I’ll ask him to see if there’s anything similar in Morrison’s!!

Nice walk today - just about four miles.

73kittycat73 · 27/06/2021 19:12

No worries.Smile Went for a walk today to-It started chucking it down! Got so wet! It was a bit of drama on an otherwise quiet Sunday though. We got a laugh out of it. Smile
My Wednesday yoga course is to become a standard class, I'm pleased about that. Have signed up for more Mon and Weds classes till Aug/September. I'm glad because it's the only keep fit/exercise class around here.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend?

Hi everyone. Smile I'm so happy today. Weigh in after 12 days and I've lost 5.2lbs! Not much change in measurements but I'm sure they'll catch up. BMI now 25.5. So close to normal/healthy! All that exercise is paying off! I hope you are all having a great day too?

73kittycat73 · 28/06/2021 12:32

Thank you WreckTangled. Smile I must say, to blow my own trumpet, I'm pretty chuffed. I was hoping for at least 3 but thought maybe 2. The exercise is really helping! I reckon if I can keep this up, I'll be at goal in about 6/7 weeks.
How are you today?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 28/06/2021 12:36

All good here. Went for a walk before work so have OK steps already. Might need another walk to get 10k in. My legs hurt from the gym yesterday though.

BorderlineHappy · 28/06/2021 15:34

Wasn't to well over the weekend.
Had a few glasses of wine and some pizza. And was sick
Also had diarrhea,I'm think the alcohol, the jab and pizza just didn't get on well😂

WreckTangled · 28/06/2021 15:41

I've bought some seltzer's that are 0g sugar and 0g carbs 4% alcohol. Will let you all know what it's like when I've tried them.

73kittycat73 · 28/06/2021 17:31

Aww, hope your legs feel better now? Did you go at particually hard, or try some new exercises?
Sorry to hear you were sick and poorly BorderlineHappy. How are you doing today?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 28/06/2021 18:36

I went quite hard on the leg press. Now I think I've got ankle bursitis. Am currently icing it.

BorderlineHappy · 28/06/2021 19:04

I'm fine now, even done exercise and had a nice walk.

73kittycat73 · 28/06/2021 19:23

WreckTangled Ouch. Will you be laid up long? Oh dear, just googled 'ankle bursitis,' I really hope you are OK. Will you be seeking medical help, or are you just going to try at home remedies?
That's good to hear BorderlineHappy. Smile Glad you're feeling better.
Just got back from yoga. Gonna blow my own trumpet again today and say I did all of the balancing poses (Bar one, see below)! So pleased. I did it all apart from a couple of push ups. I'm so pleased about the balance though. However, every session she sneaks in a new impossible pose! lol Todays was standing on one leg, the other straight and out and up to the back and your upper body tilting at waist height. Nah, not this time! lol

PaperMonster · 28/06/2021 20:06

Ouchy @WreckTangled. Sounds painful. Hope it’s healed soon. I can recommend Tiger Balm (I smell of it permanently!!)

Sorry to hear you’ve been off colour @BorderlineHappy and good to hear you’re feeling better!

Well done on the yoga @73kittycat73! I’ve just made my daughter try and do that pose you described- not sure it’s possible!!! Anyway, it amused her trying!!

I’ve been to the hospital today re my arm - still just awaiting further referral so no joy there. Got myself a blood pressure machine also as the Diabetic nurse said last week that the last reading they had on file for me (from five years ago), the lower reading was borderline high so I’ve to take a week’s worth of readings and send them in. Also been dealing with more of the redundancy procedure.
