Still waiting on the phone call from the he hospital.
But I tried on a skirt that never fitted me,and it does now.
I can even sit down and breathe🤣
So even though I haven't lost lbs I have obviously lost inches.
I'm really chuffed.

73kittycat73 · 07/07/2021 12:50

PaperMonster, it makes a really bad noise when flushed now. The whole bathroom shakes! There's obviously air trapped in the pipes. I have now been told someone will be out between 2pm-7pm.
Well done on your NSV (Non scale victory.) BorderlineHappy! Star You should be chuffed. I understand the bit about being able to sit down too! lol Well done though. Star I hope you call comes through soon, and that it is very, very good news. Flowers

@BorderlineHappy - such a good feeling! Well done!

BorderlineHappy · 07/07/2021 16:13

Thanks ,still waiting on hospital to call.
Wasting a day here,I could be out doing stuff.
The appointment is now 2 hours over the time I was given.
So pissed off now.

BorderlineHappy · 07/07/2021 17:16

Got off the he phone with the consultant and he wants me to go for an angiogram.
My veins in my neck are smaller than what they should be.
And they want to check it out.

PaperMonster · 07/07/2021 21:34

Oh heck @BorderlineHappy. Will you have to wait long for the angiogram?

73kittycat73 · 07/07/2021 23:12

Thanks WreckTangled. Smile Amazingly someone turned up in the end. They had to replace a washer or something. Feel like I should whisper for this as I don't want to tempt fate but it's currently working! No blocks or noises.
Hi BorderlineHappy are the veins in the neck to do with your diabetes? I really hope it all turns out OK for you. Flowers I don't suppose you know how long it would take for your angiogram appointment? I hope it's soon for you.
How's your arm now PaperMonster? It's a shame you had to resort to paying for treatment to feel a bit better. At least it does now though. Are you going back for more?
Oh year, the Christmas word again. Xmas Grin If you have Sky tv Movies24 is showing Christmas films all this month. I have one taped already. Xmas Grin

@73kittycat73 I’ve seen this private physio a few times. It just gives me temporary relief. He’s not fixing it though. Just pain relief and gives me some range of movement for a while. I’ll probably not get to see him over the hols, so I’ll have to see how I get on. Am awaiting an appointment from the NHS senior MSK person for investigations.

Fingers crossed your toilet behaves itself from now!!

BorderlineHappy · 08/07/2021 07:41

@PaperMonster hopefully not too long. I hope you're not waiting too long either.
@73kittycat73 no I was born with the skinny veins in my neck.Thats why they haven't caused me too many problems.
No it's nothing to do with diabetes.

Doctor told me a few weeks ago I have a brain aneurysm.
But with getting everything else sorted it didn't sink in.

Until I talked to the consultant yesterday.

Good news about your loo as well @73kittycat73 hopefully that's the last trouble you have with it.

PleaseStopExplaining · 08/07/2021 09:33

Hi all,

I haven’t been around for a bit. First I was trying to cut my internet time for a few days and then everything went a bit wrong diabetes wise. But I’m trying to get it back together. I had my hba1c taken a couple of weeks ago. Haven’t had the results (they said we’ll call if theres a problem) but I’m thinking they might be worse. I’m speaking to the diabetes nurse next week.

Hope everyone is well? I’m off to get the train into the city to go to the bank (why they persist in closing branches I don’t know?!) and will catch up with the thread when I’m back.

PaperMonster · 08/07/2021 11:26

Hi @PleaseStopExplaining hopefully you’ll be back on track Diabetes-wise! We’ll gladly offer support xx

@BorderlineHappy my first instinct on reading that is to think “shit” - what are the actual implications for you?

BorderlineHappy · 08/07/2021 12:00

I actually don't know @PaperMonster.
He told me yesterday any headaches, pains in my neck or blurry vision.
Ambulance straight away to the hospital.

I look at it this way,at least I know now.
And I can be prepared.
All them headache and neck pain years ago I put down to sleeping wrong.

73kittycat73 · 08/07/2021 12:02

I can only hope PaperMonster! Grin At least you get some relief for your arm then. Any idea how long you have to wait for the NHS appointment? I hope it's not too long.
Oh BorderlineHappy, I'm so sorry to hear about your brain aneurysm. You must be so stressed. Sad I don't know what to say. I just hope you are coping OK? Will you need surgery or tablets? At least it's been found before anything horrible happens. I wish you well, very soon. Flowers
Hi PleaseStopExplaining.Smile Sorry to hear your diabetes went a bit wonky. Sounds like you will get back on it though, well done. Star I hear you about bank closures! Santandar is closing in my local shopping area, we'll only have Lloyds bank left!

PaperMonster · 08/07/2021 13:13

@BorderlineHappy - yes, at least you know what to look out for. Must be worrying though.

@73kittycat73 MSK rang this morning and I’ve to ring hospital to arrange an x-ray, and of course I can’t get through!!

When I went to work on Monday I got a leaving gift - lovely bits and pieces, but one item hadn’t arrived. It came through the post this morning and it’s just absolutely freaking awesome! I’ve been sobbing!!

BorderlineHappy · 08/07/2021 13:27

@PaperMonster ah it's lovely to get presents through the post.
I really hope you enjoy them.

73kittycat73 · 08/07/2021 19:56

Hi PaperMonster, sorry to hear you can't get through to the x-rayu place. I usually find phoning as early as possible helps, literally to the minute of opening! Good luck, I hope you get through quickly.
Your leaving gift sounds like it was lovely if it made you cry. Flowers You say it was awesome though so hopefully a 'good' cry?
Hey, BorderlineHappy, how are you doing this evening? Coping well I hope?
I have two NSV's. When I started yoga I bought some long sleeved tops to wear. When they turned up and I tried them on they looked awful. Skin tight and loads of bulges everywhere. It was cold last night (Hello? Summer, where are you?!) so I thought I'd try one on...and it fits! It looked OK, so I wore it. Didn't frighten any woman or small children anyway. Grin
My other NSV is nothing to do with weight, but still a victory none the less. I had to take out a loan last year and tomorrow I'm making the last payment! Yay! That will free up £72.00 a month. That's going towards my fund for new winter clothes as I'll be to slim (Hopefully) for my wardrobe from last year (Mainly size 20s.)

Sending positive thoughts to everyone today. , I hope the health issues work out. I’ve been on a painting mission inside and out . Just a little each day but it’s surprising what a difference it makes doing sills and door frames etc. Obviously staring at my walls too much these days ! Otherwise been fairly quiet, think I’ve been on track food wise although did lose my way with the Kit Kat’s a few days ago.

BorderlineHappy · 09/07/2021 13:02

I'm doing well today, feeling a lot more positive.
@Hermie12 hope your painting goes well.
@73kittycat73 ,@Iamtheweedonkey*,@WreckTangled,@Xyzzzzz,*@PaperMonster ,@PleaseStopExplaining hope your day is going well.

PaperMonster · 09/07/2021 18:05

Hello all, well done on your NSVs @73kittycat73!!

Good to hear you’re feeling positive @BorderlineHappy!

Yes, @Hermie12, doing the sills and frames does make such a difference doesn’t it? Everything seems fresher and brighter!

I’ve had a good day tootling around the village, wearing my new and amazing earrings! Which is what my present was! Walked about seven miles today.

And I managed to book my X-ray, hurrah! It’s in a couple of weeks!

It has been so close today, really dull but very warm. Was thinking a storm might happen - but now it’s bright sunshine!!

73kittycat73 · 09/07/2021 19:03

Aww, Hermie12 KitKats are known to do that. Grin All that painting will be using calories up anyway. Smile
Hi BorderlineHappy, glad you are feeling a bit better about the situation today. Sending you good vibes ~~~~

Borderline pleased you're feeling ok.

My ankle is still very painful I'm feeling so down in the dumps. I haven't left the house since I last went to the gym and I'm feeling like all the progress I've made will go. Also at times the pain is enough to make me want to cry although I think that's because it's so constant rather than the level of pain if that makes sense? I know ankles take forever to heal though which just makes it worse.

WreckTangled · 09/07/2021 19:20

Sorry for the woe is me post Blush

PaperMonster · 09/07/2021 19:35

Oh @WreckTangled, I empathise with the constant pain bit. What pain relief have you got? Does heat or ice help? Have you tried using topical?
