Seems to be pretty much 9 until 3 here, with an hour for lunch.

Many more than I am contracted to. Rarely take a lunch break. But I love my job otherwise I wouldn't do it.

ScissorsBike · 25/05/2021 19:51

9-5 without a lunch break.

TheGriffle · 25/05/2021 19:51

9-5 with 30 mins for lunch (should be 8.30 start but I take my little one to nursery as they only open at 8.45). I take the odd 5-10min tea break and go to the loo as well like I would do in the office.

crumble82 · 25/05/2021 19:51

0830-1630/1700ish and I try to take an hour for lunch

CorianderBee · 25/05/2021 19:52

I do different hours on different weeks ranging from 7-3 to 12-8 with an hours lunch depending on my employers needs

Chicchicchicchiclana · 25/05/2021 19:52

What do you mean?

I work from home but I have part time hours. I do my contracted hours, maybe a half hour extra here and there if I'm exceptionally busy (rarely).

CorianderBee · 25/05/2021 19:52

Oh and usually an hour beyond contracted

AllotmentTime · 25/05/2021 19:53

?? Blimey I’d love to know where you work.

9-5 / 9.30-5.30 in this house, plus extras as needed.

LongLiveGoblingKing · 25/05/2021 19:54

08:00- 16:30 with an hour for lunch. DS is currently in nursery which opens at 07:30 so facilitates this earlier start.

brizzlewizzle · 25/05/2021 19:54

Far too many -often into the evening as in Teams calls all day...

SimonJT · 25/05/2021 19:54

8:45-4:45, however I work through my lunch which means I’m allowed to finish earlier.

Timeforabiscuit · 25/05/2021 19:55

Same as my contract, although I now do 7.30 am reporting, which never would be considered reasonable pre-pandemic - but as I can do it half asleep in pyjamas I'm not raising hell over it.

HelloMissus · 25/05/2021 19:56

I’m self employed so it’s up to me.
Usually 8ish to 10ish then walk-in the dog. Then 11-1pm ish and half an hour lunch.
Then I’ll usually work until 6.30-7pm then clock off to do some exercise and make dinner.

WTFisNext · 25/05/2021 19:56

I'm contracted 8-5.30 four days a week.

I work 7-5.30 because my company are happy for me to flex my time.around the school run so there are two 30 minute "breaks" built into my day.

I don't take a lunch break and am genuinely working the whole duration.

I sneak on MN when I'm running batches because they can take 10/15 minutes each time and I'm tethered to my machine when they're happening so MN keeps me sane for those.

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2021 19:56

Whatever it needs.
At the moment 8.30 to 4ish, quite a gentle day
At times up working till midnight or beyond and starting at 6.30 with a break for school drop off

KaleSlayer · 25/05/2021 19:56

I work part time from home and hours vary depending on what’s happening at work and my life.

My partner starts work anytime between 8am and 10am. He finishes between 5pm and 8pm, but then often does another couple of hours later on.

Both jobs are flexible enough for us to do school runs.

adagio · 25/05/2021 19:56

8-5 with no lunch break 4 days a week (paid for 32 part time hours so a bit more than contracted but at least I get a day off each week Grin)

DatingDickheads · 25/05/2021 19:57

7.30 to 5 with a few breaks then extra in the evening as needed.

LadyJaye · 25/05/2021 19:57

Depends - I'm a senior subject matter expert with responsibilities to offices in Australia, NY and London.

Most days I'm at my desk for about 8am, but if I have a call with AUS, I'll occasionally start at 6am. Will normally work on until about 7pm to accommodate NA, sometimes as late as 10pm,but might take a couple of hours in the middle of the day or early evening to go and do other stuff.

I'll occasionally pick stuff up at the weekends or do very late nights, but that's dependent on clients (I work in fintech consulting).

Generally speaking, I'll do at least 40 hours (very rarely more than 50, though, I'm not a total masochist), but they might be at strange points of the day/week.

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 25/05/2021 19:58

I'm contracted for 16.5 hours and I try to stick to that maybe sometimes I go over by half hour or so when I'm finishing off an email but I point blank refuse to give extra when I get nothing back from it !

picturesandpickles · 25/05/2021 19:59

More than I did when in the office!

chocolatecheesecake · 25/05/2021 20:01

8-5 with half an hour for lunch. Then another 30-90 mins after I've fed the kids to finish off. But I work 3.5 days in 3.

MrsLeclerc · 25/05/2021 20:01

9-3 with an hour lunch? 5 hour working day sounds lovely!
I do my normal contracted hours 8-3.30 with 30 min lunch but almost always stay longer finishing up emails/last minute requests.

MrsSiba · 25/05/2021 20:02

I do the hours I am contracted for and sometimes a bit more if I'm busy. Your post reads as if you are finishing early at 3?

Usually log on between 9 and 10 until lunch. An hour for lunch then work until 4 or 5. I will sometimes do a couple of hours at the weekend if I need to catch up.

Susannahmoody · 25/05/2021 20:10

Yeah, I've just started this job, it's a refreshing change from before. Not sure if it'll continue like this or not
