Seems to be pretty much 9 until 3 here, with an hour for lunch.

Your post reads as if you are finishing early at 3

^^

Actual start and finish times haven't yet been communicated

9-5 with 30 mins lunch, I do a 37.5 hour week.

sleepyhead · 25/05/2021 20:13

About an hour, hour and a half more than when I was in the office because I work my commute time. I feel like it's costing me nothing and it allows me to occasionally bank some of the time and take the odd early finish (couldn't possibly take all the time back but it's good to be able to be a bit flexible).

Seems pretty typical from what I can see of when colleagues are logged in. Lots of early starts and late finishes but everyone feels work/life balance feels better.

Ginger1982 · 25/05/2021 20:13

As long as we work 6/7 hours between 7am and 7pm we can work whenever we want. I tend to do 8/9am to 4/4.30pm so more then required but nobody is checking as we currently have no clocking in system.

reluctantbrit · 25/05/2021 20:14

Same as in the office, 9 to 5 with an hour lunch.

We have the odd day we have to do more but that would be office based as well.

But you must be contracted for an amount of hours?

Marmite27 · 25/05/2021 20:16

6am-10am then 7pm-10:30pm
6am - 1:30pm (no break) x3
6am - 11am.

Really works for me. It means a fab work home balance.

DH does:
10:30am-6pm (no break)
9:30am-6:30pm (30mins break for dinner between 4:30pm and 6pm x3
11:30am -6pm (no break).

lljkk · 25/05/2021 20:16

8amish to 6/7pmish with up to 2 hrs break in day to go for a swim or do errands. Some days I volunteer until 10 or 11am, I might work 1-2 hours before starting the volunteering or need to stop at 4pm for many reaosns. I try to avoid working on weekends. I don't take holiday... where would I go for holidays?? So many days I just work 4-5 hrs of nominal FT job.

mindutopia · 25/05/2021 20:17

8:30-4:45 (with maybe 30 minutes for lunch and then I take 30 minutes to do the school run) and then I work again 8:30-10pm ish most nights.

lljkk · 25/05/2021 20:17

ps: my job is also vague on how many hours is FT.

didireallysaythat · 25/05/2021 20:18

I think I'm doing something wrong. I start 8:30-9:30 and have back to back calls until 17:00-18:00 and usually work until 20:00 Monday and Tuesday to mean that I can finish by 18:00 the rest of the week. Lunch is at my desk with the video off.... If I go onsite the day is a bit longer trying to cram more into it. I'm exhausted.

CMOTDibbler · 25/05/2021 20:19

My hours depend on what is happening. A meeting with teams in China can mean logging on at 6am for a meeting, and my bosses working hours don't start until 5 pm my time. Sometimes I have 10pm meetings for the US, but generally try to have an 7am to 8pm except by very special arrangement working hours
I normally though will be at my desk 8-6 (though I am trying to get out for an hour at lunchtime), and then do another hour of emails in the evening to mop up the US

Hotcuppatea · 25/05/2021 20:19

Roughly 8.30-4.30 with an hour lunch. Its flexible so I'll be doing a longer day tomorrow because of business requirements so I went for a run at lunchtime today, had a shower and ate lunch. Longer than usual.

C00lCucumber5 · 25/05/2021 20:20

7-7 days & nights, rolling rota

Keepyourdistance000 · 25/05/2021 20:20

DH does 0900-1730 with 30 mins-1 hour for lunch. Sometimes he will start at 0830 or have occasional evening meetings with overseas colleagues.

Suzi888 · 25/05/2021 20:21

Various hours, can work pretty much any hours between 7am and 7pm. I’ve occasionally worked 6am until noon.

VettiyaIruken · 25/05/2021 20:21

Depends how I'm feeling (chronic illnesses) and how many commissions I've got on (self employed) but it's normally 8ish till 11 then maybe 1 till anywhere between 3 and 6/7. This is 7 days a week unless I'm going through a very bad stage illness wise.

ProfYaffle · 25/05/2021 20:21

Normal working hours. Same number of contracted hours per week, same flexitime allowances. I start somewhere between 7am and 9am, lunch between 30 and 90 minutes. I try to finish by 4.15pm but often get caught on calls and stay later.

SuperSecretSquirrels · 25/05/2021 20:22

8am - 6pm on back-to-back calls, then doing actual work (rather than zoom) until 8 or 9pm. I try to finish by 6 a couple of nights per week.

theemmadilemma · 25/05/2021 20:23

I check in at 8am, am around-ish. Properly online at 9am. Don't tend to take a lunch, but I do take plenty of short breaks, wind down around 4.30, but online until 5.30, maybe later occasionally for meetings.

Minstermouse · 25/05/2021 20:24

I don’t but husband does, 6.30 am to around 3om ish, same as office hours but with the bonus of no commute.

Minstermouse · 25/05/2021 20:24

3pm

NeedWineNow · 25/05/2021 20:26

Try and do the same as normal - 9.15 - 5.15 but invariably work until 6 and sometimes later if needed, with an hour for lunch.

SarahAndQuack · 25/05/2021 20:28

I've pretty much always worked from home, barring when I'm physically in front of students. I usually do spread out hours, so I do start at 9 and finish at 5 these days, but I usually fit in 2-4 hours in the evening as well, as that's when I work best, and I often catch up on the weekends. I like it as it means if I have a rotten day or just want to do something during the week, I can take time off without worrying. Work made us tally our hours one time, and I was working between 55 and 65 hours a week, so I am sure they get their money's worth.

Covidatemyhomework · 25/05/2021 20:28

Sometimes 9-4.30, having the luxury of deopping my DD straight to school instrad pf morning club. Other days I get up at 4.30am and log on straight away, only breaking off to get my DD to school then logging off at 5.30pm. Depends on how busy I am
