Seems to be pretty much 9 until 3 here, with an hour for lunch.

8.30-5.30 with no more than a 30 minute break in total. Usually an hour or two in the evenings at least twice a week. I am only contracted for 30 hours, but routinely work 40-45. I am well paid though, and I enjoy my work.

omgthepain · 25/05/2021 22:29

I do 8-4 same as in my office
With the added luxury of taking quick breaks to put loads of washing in and take in food deliveries but I always work thru my dinner and often go online later into the evening

9 - 5 with a 1hr lunch break. We don't have flex time. I do switch my laptop on at 8 am though as it's so bloody slow to boot up, and I don't mind catching up on emails or bits of work outside my core hours while I'm wfh.

Crayfishforyou · 25/05/2021 22:36

I do varying hours but my longest day is 8-8, and I’m lucky if I find the time to make a sandwich

bumblingbovine49 · 25/05/2021 22:39

Start between 8.30am an 9.30am. Finish around 6.30 pm for dinner regardless of my start time

. Sometimes ( around 3-4 times a month) I then go back after dinner and work from 7.30pm until around 9.30/10 pm. Sometimes I work on my days off if I.am behind with a deadline

Lunch break is anything between no break to an hour depending on how busy I am

redandwhite1 · 25/05/2021 22:45

Same as if I was in the office - 8-4 but often I work slightly later as I'm not leaving to fight traffic!

I find myself doing stuff in the day (washing / cleaning/ taking and picking up kids) so if I work later I don't mind

ZenNudist · 25/05/2021 22:45

8.30/9/930- 530/6 with an hour or 90 mins for lunch, 30mins to an hour 2 days a week school run, time off to do washing or cook tea, then 730 to 9/10/11/12 as the work demands 4 days a week. Plus extra on my day off or weekend. I get flexibility but definitely work more than my contracted hours.

ShowOfHands · 25/05/2021 22:47

9-3.

DH works stupid shifts on a rolling rota (police officer) and we don't have breakfast or after school clubs and childcare is rare as hens teeth so I do 30hrs a week in school hours so that I can do the school run.

TheMotherlode · 25/05/2021 22:52

Work 7:30-8:30
Shower
Work 9:00-5:00
No lunch break but have 2 or 3 10 min breaks throughout the day, mainly used to do housework

Actual start and finish times haven't yet been communicated

But, presumably, unless you applied for a PT job, you are aware that 5 hours a day isn't going to cover a normal working week .

I'm a bit confused about what you are asking ?
Do you want to know if people spread their hours,
or shift their hours into unusual time slots, or
if people are just doing their contracted hours, or longer ?

As this will surely depend on the job.

LadyofMisrule · 25/05/2021 23:38

I'm self-employed. Started checking emails at 7.30am. Worked 8-6. Made dinner, and did child stuff, then started again at 9pm. Just finished at 11.30. I've currently got two jobs, so it's a struggle to fit it all in.

Bovrilly · 25/05/2021 23:49

I'm freelance so it depends on what's going on. I'm quite busy at the moment and will be working every day until mid June. I usually start at 7, as I'm up with the teens anyway, work till about 3, hang out with them for a bit and then do some more in the evening if necessary. I volunteer on Wednesday mornings so tomorrow I'll work 1230-9 or something like that. Towards the end of this project there'll be a few days of 6am to midnight and then it'll be done.
