If the measly £5 voucher is for Polly sauce I think I would be tempted to put in in the local food bank .
I have never really understood why ( esp food /drink) companies give you a voucher for something like this .

You - this sauce / pie/ soup/ has got something wrong with it .
Company - oh we have really slipped up and hurt / poisoned someone
lets give them more of the same to see if we can actually kill them

I did send it to them, they sent a pre-paid envelope for it. Had to send the jar it came in too.

I suspect they do know what it is but aren't sharing the information for fear of a much bigger reaction.

There's several different associated companies on the voucher but yes I'm planning foodbank or Olio for it.... make sure it gets used.

OP, I work in food safety and it is well within your rights as a wronged consumer to demand full access to their complaint report, investigation and conclusion - as well as corrective actions (so the rest of us are not subjected to repeat ‘foreign bodies’. I think —we— you deserve full disclosure!
