It’s Mr Ball Legs from Santa Clarita Diet!!!!

ThistleTits · 30/04/2021 22:23

@TSSDNCOP

Has it got a teeny head - right of shot.

You're going to need a head torch, kitchen knife, garlic and crucifix.

Woman up Op, you've got this.

TheVolturi · 30/04/2021 22:32

Who was going to eat this sauce op? Because if you want to earn a quick quid the daily fail would love to see your sad face if you state your child was about to eat it!

Ddot · 30/04/2021 23:37

Read 9 things the FDA allow in your food
Mold rat poop bug debris to mention a few

Frownette · 30/04/2021 23:53

@CrankyFrankie

The alien-vulva has started emitting mind control waves and OP is clearly falling under its power. This is the beginning of an alternative love story. I can see the two of them smooching dreamily on a bench by the Eiffel Tower. Then a heart-wrenching goodbye when ‘Globby*’ is forced to return and face punishment for trying to infiltrate humanity. Stay strong OP! You’ll always have Pa[ri]s-ta.

*not its real name

I seriously don't think anything is going to be licking anything
humansare · 01/05/2021 00:02

a piece of mouldy pomegranate? That's what it looks like.

OddestSock · 01/05/2021 08:26

@GeorgeandHarold66

*It's a vagina. You have a vagina in your pasta sauce.

I do like vaginas to be fair, not usually with meatballs though.

Vagina and meatballs. Imagine seeing that on the menu at your local Italian 😂
trishbelladonna · 01/05/2021 08:32

It’s best to keep the jar as it will have a batch number for the company to trace the rest of the contaminated jars. That stuff whatever it is shouldn’t be there!

ContinuousMonotoneBeep · 01/05/2021 08:35

A very unwell mummified sundries tomato.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 01/05/2021 09:01

Write to the manufacturer with the serial number on the jar. They will be able to investigate the batch and will probably give compensation. This remains me of a legal case of a snail in a ginger beer bottle...

Ddot · 01/05/2021 09:32

Had a fly in my apricot brandy, not a shit fly just a kind of knat. Sent pictures to manufacturers got money back and another bottle. I sieved out the knat and drunk it 🤣

PussGirl · 01/05/2021 09:48

And why not Ddot ? I'd've done the same - after all it would have been sterilised and wouldn't have drunk much Grin

CorvusPurpureus · 01/05/2021 10:01

@Ddot

Bugs get in veg, fact of life. If bugs won't eat it, why would you want to. Bet you didn't know their is a permitted amount of bug carcasses allowed in jam and peanut butter
This is true, I used to know a bloke whose job was looking at various sauces under a microscope to see if the sample from a particular manufacturer was within the permitted level of bug parts.

Tolerance for legs'n'wings in ketchup was especially generous, as apparently the acidity meant they just dissolved in, like tiny Acid Bath Murderer victims, before the bottle hit the supermarket shelves.

Ddot · 01/05/2021 10:05

Gross but true

Anonmousse · 01/05/2021 10:25

We found a pen (bic style biro) lid in a bottle of wine once!Confused

Geekynzmum · 01/05/2021 10:39

It looks like a shriveled fig with the insides scooped out ... Confused

tiredanddangerous · 01/05/2021 13:50

I really wish I hadn't come across this thread whilst eating my lunch.

mamabear715 · 03/05/2021 11:35

Only just read this thread.. oh, the THINGS I've found over the years! Most companies have been great, refunded & compensation too, a loo roll complaint comes to mind, it was a complete roll of tiny bits of loo roll, not a complete piece in there!
The company wrote back with a witty poem that made me giggle!

ON the other hand.. there was the Cadbury Biaritz chocolates with a LIVE maggot strutting along UNDER the cellophane.. took those straight to Trading Standards, they were very interested, asked if I'd go to court, that they would be in touch.. eventually they got back to me & said they were happy with Cadbury's explanation about Chocolate moths (me neither, YUCK) and the refund didn't even cover my bus fare to trading standards, let alone the chocs.. just seemed to me like someone had recieved a backhander..

Then there was Ragu. Opened the jar to inches deep MOULD. I checked online & saw others had reported the same thing. I don't think I even got a reply, and it all quietly went away. Needless to say I never bought another thing from them. :-(

Sweetpea1532 · 03/05/2021 19:36

I think I may have posted this before...but.if so here goes again

My aunt opened a tin of chilli from Dollartree (US equivalent of Poundland) and saw that it was only about 3/4 full...when she dumped it in the pot to heat, she discovered a tomato basted mouse...complete with a little tail and 4 little feet...she wasn't even fazed and nobody made a big deal about it at the shop when she took it to show them... they just exchanged it for another which she took home for lunch.🤢

I would have at least changed brands as I wouldn't have been sure that the mouse hadn't been swimming in the giant batch before he got tinned!

Chocolate moths?! Shock

Woodpecker22 · 03/05/2021 19:49

Chocolate moths?! shock

I made the mistake of googling these.

This species is closely related to the meal moth, it is very common insect in tropical and temperate climates, but it's taste is more in the way of nuts, almonds, cocoa beans and dried fruit (it is a major pest and also damages flours, milled cereal products, cocoa, etc). It is therefore a very serious pest problem in the chocolate industry. The moths nearly always reach the factory in the raw materials. In addition, the remains of cocoa beans and other materials may be seats of infection, and the machinary itself may harbour povckets of suitable food for these moths.

If the moths appear in the factory there is alweays the risk that they may have laid eggs on the finished product, and so one may have the problem of 'worms' in the chocolate (see the picture below, you can't see the worms but you can see where the nuts have been eaten leaving the outlines in the chocolate). The infestation may also take place in a store or shop.
