Anybody want to hazard a guess what it is? I feel a bit sick Envy

Woodpecker22 You are braver than I, googling chocolate moths! :-(

MrsMaizel · 04/05/2021 09:49

Don't you know what this is yet ? 😂

Bordois · 04/05/2021 10:00

Unashamed placemarking for the outcome Grin

cresside · 04/05/2021 16:17

I think it’s a clump of raisins. Had this once in a pack of muesli.

Justmuddlingalong · 04/05/2021 16:21

I know raisins would be preferable to some of the other suggestions, but as an ingredient in a pasta tomato sauce?

GeorgeandHarold66 · 04/05/2021 18:34

Definitely isn't raisins!
Sorry for anybody who's interested, it'll probably be a while. Apparently the company send me an envelope then I send the offending items back and await their judgement!!

I once found a rather large bluebottle in a Fox's glacier mint. When I say "in", it was more kind of wearing the mint like a jacket (it was a big bluebottle).

Keep coming back on this thread to find out what the blobby thing is

GeorgeandHarold66 · 08/05/2021 10:49

I know! I almost wish this was a made up thread so I could give everybody a quick resolution. Sadly, I got the prepaid envelope and sent the jar off today so it may take a while..... sorry! Grin

I'm so disappointed that I've found out chocolate moths are a thing. I wish the internet had never been invented 😭

I'm imagining people with white lab coats nibbling at it to see what it is

Ugggggh this has given me the horrors. Was it like a fly in amber ?
ImprobablePuffin · 18/05/2021 22:07

Any response from them yet OP?

Maybe the sauce company has paid her hush-money not to spill the beans!Grin

Sweetpea1532 · 05/06/2021 03:43

@AlCalavicci
You might need to come on this thread to see if you can help get to the bottom of this mystery pasta sauceWink

AlCalavicci · 05/06/2021 19:40

Hi @Sweetpea1532 ,
I am at work at the minuet Sad but I will catch up with this tonight Grin

Sweetpea1532 · 05/06/2021 20:53

@AlCalavicci Wink

AlCalavicci · 05/06/2021 23:35

Now dont get me wrong I have been on MN for a while now and I am use to seeing all sort's of odd replies but this thread takes the Biscuit
This revolting looking item is
a insect
Blackberries
a tomato ( sundried or otherwise )
a vagina
a vulva
Haemorrhoids
frog spawn
Alien
Peppercorns
fig
raisins
Artichoke
Mould
slug
To name but a few of the ides !
you lot have got the best imaginations Grin

The PP that was asking about the brand name , sounds like a parrot in a dipper proper made me laugh , thank you .

I agree with the mould theory, and though that is unpleasant
I think I'd prefer mould to a vulva !

I am a little concerned that @GeorgeandHarold66 keeps going very quiet , I think gooby may have her under its alien spell and OP can only surface when Gooby has gone back to his jar to eat some more parrots in dippers

Sweetpea1532 · 06/06/2021 02:43

@AlCalavicci..I just knew you'd be the perfect one to sum up and analyse this Hardy Boys,/ Nancy Drew mystery!
Oh and it's parrots in DIAPERS, mate, not DIPPERS!😂
That was a pretty clever charades clue though, wasn't it!

Sweetpea1532 · 06/06/2021 02:46

@AlCalavicci...for now I'm sticking with my hush- money scheme Grin

GeorgeandHarold66 · 06/06/2021 07:20

GrinI'm here, not eaten I'm pleased to say!!
Sadly, I had my reply from the company and it's not really going to make a neat conclusion to the thread as they don't say what it is!! I did get a £5 voucher though.

OP posts:
Sweetpea1532 · 06/06/2021 07:56

@GeorgeandHarold66

Yay! It's you IRL!
Wow, a whole £5 voucher? That's mighty generous of themHmm
I'm sure you can't wait to get your free jar of diaper wearing parrot sauce...
I reckon since they didn't bother telling you what the glob actually is, this would mean that it's much worse than the guesses of all the pp ( thank you @AlCalavicci for kindly organising a proper list!)

I'm sorry that this has come to an untidy end..I was hoping for something spectacular Shock

pe3k · 06/06/2021 08:36

Hopefully not a £5 voucher for more N* Sauces!

I need to know what it was. The fact they haven't told you makes me more scared.

CherryRipe1 · 06/06/2021 08:41

Wah-hey! Been loving this one & so curious about what it was. Gee whizz, bunch of tightwads.....Sorry to be a thicko but can't for the life of me work out what the parrot in a diaper sauce is. Neapolitan (Nea-Polly-tan), Napolina (Nappy-Polly-ina)??
I think you should demand to know what the foreign object is!
