Just watching Bones for the first time and absolutely gutted about Sweets which made me wonder which other tv deaths have upset MNers.

Lots of potential for spoilers here so apologies in advance.

@TunstallTansy

Damon in Brookside
Absolutely yes!

I was going to say Derek Shepherd in Greys Anatomy, but Damon’s was much worse.

TooYoungToNotice · 25/04/2021 10:18

Mark Greene and Lucy in ER.

Nick Berry's wife in Heartbeat.

Morse of course, and the moment Hastings realises in the final episode of Poirot and turns and rushes back to him.

The Lisa Faulkner death scene in Spooks has never left me.

And the end of million dollar baby. Was sad for days.

Porthesia · 25/04/2021 10:46

As others have said
Blake's 7
Morse
Arthur - Merlin
Marcus - Babylon 5
Quentin Fields - One Tree Hill
End of Blackadder goes Forth

Oh and Marley in Marley and me. Went through a box of tissues watching that film, was exhausted when it finished. But then I cry when I watch supervet and a cat or dog dies makes me hug mine more😔

Angelil · 25/04/2021 11:28

@remember1 think you and I must be about the same age!

TruelyWonder · 25/04/2021 11:29

I banned my father from ever watching Marley and me. The dogs death would have totally done him in.

Despite being an avid Morse fan, I own but will never watch the final episode.

tommyhoundmum · 25/04/2021 11:53

BlankieBlops

Oh no, not Will! I'm just about to read the book and he is my favourite character

GabsAlot · 25/04/2021 12:01

Any dogs death I won't watch Marley and me

AuntyHope · 25/04/2021 12:08

Both Missy Booth and her Nan in Ackley Bridge

I immediately thought of Lisa's death in spooks.
Weirdfan · 25/04/2021 12:20

@AuntyHope

Both Missy Booth and her Nan in Ackley Bridge
Oh thank god someone else mentioned Missy Booth, I tried to watch the new series but just couldn't, it's not the same without her Sad
AuntyHope · 25/04/2021 12:23

@Weirdfan

Me either!

GabsAlot · 25/04/2021 12:24

I'm watching it now the doctor Donna. Wish Catherine had stayed

Lovelovelove21 · 25/04/2021 12:27

Jamie in Eastenders
Pat in Eastenders

Brody in Homeland

Lozzie86 · 25/04/2021 12:28

Wes Gibbons in How to Get Away With Murder was really sad.

Poussey in OINTB was horrendous and I had blocked that out until I just saw it mentioned.

But the most traumatic death scene has to be Hannah in 13 reasons why, it took my breath away!

Samcro · 25/04/2021 12:39

another for me was in NCIS Los Angeles. there was an agent that died in a really horrid way(up there with the deep fat fryer one in spooks) was just so shocking and sudden.
couldn't get it out of my mind for ages.

Annaram1 · 25/04/2021 12:59

Kush in Eastenders. Absolutely heartbreaking. That rotten Grey will probably get away with it. A real villain , after Kush saved him from the underground line and he then pushed Kush under the train...

Jamestheleast · 25/04/2021 13:13

Radio: Grace Archer.
I was young, obvs, and it was such a contrast to they cosy story.
What made it so dramatic was how Phil was torn apart by the grief.

Snaketime · 25/04/2021 14:00

Shiva the cgi tiger in The Walking Dead destroyed me.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/04/2021 14:00

Both upsetting and disturbing was the murder scene in twin peaks when BOB kills Laura’s cousin maddie. It lasted about 5 mins, it was horrific.

Oh wow, yes!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/04/2021 14:01

John Corbett in S5 Line of Duty was pretty horrific.
