Just watching Bones for the first time and absolutely gutted about Sweets which made me wonder which other tv deaths have upset MNers.

Lots of potential for spoilers here so apologies in advance.

Nana in The Royle Family.

Sybil in Downton Abbey
All the deaths in It’s a sin, the best tv show I have seen in a long long time but so upsetting.
Also cried when Barbara died in Call the Midwife.

clpsmum · 23/04/2021 18:51

@JesusInTheCabbageVan but he was going back to them!! He was more alive when he wasn't! I'm still not over Sam or bolly tbh lol

MummyInTheNecropolis · 23/04/2021 18:51

Poussey in orange is the new black. Completely unexpected and heartbreaking, I have goosebumps now just thinking about it.

squashyhat · 23/04/2021 18:51

Dr Greene in ER. I've just started rewatching the whole thing on All4. I'm only on Episode 3 and already dreading it!

Also Leo McGarry on the West Wing. The actor (John Spencer) died so they had to write his character out. Poor Annabeth going into his hotel room... Sad

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 23/04/2021 18:52

Buggy's mum.

And Spike at the end.

MichelleScarn · 23/04/2021 18:52

Lucy in ER.

BirdyBee · 23/04/2021 18:53

Sinead coronation Street, I cried all the way through!

PenOrPencil · 23/04/2021 18:53

Buffy’s mum
Dean in Supernatural
Moscou in Casa de Papel

TankGirl97 · 23/04/2021 18:53

Hodor in Game of Thrones. That whole episode really got to me.
Joyce from Buffy is a close second.

LadyRachetine · 23/04/2021 18:53

I was more sad when Vincent died in bones, absolutely loved him.

Also Will in the Good Wife. Took me utterly by surprise, I was so shaken as well when he was behind the curtain in the hospital.

Anydreamwilldo12 · 23/04/2021 18:53

George Gently. Devastated!

Madhairday · 23/04/2021 18:54

I literally came on to say Sweets! Also haven't forgiven them for Mr Nigel Murray.

Also Charlie from Lost, Leo in the West Wing, thingy who was marrying the vicar in Call the Midwife. That was brutal as was Sybil in Downton.

BirdyBee · 23/04/2021 18:54

Also most of the deaths in the walking dead!

GrouchyKiwi · 23/04/2021 18:54

I found Sweets really annoying so didn't mind that. But was sad for (also annoying) Daisy. Mr Nigel-Murray, on the other hand: buckets of tears.

Mrs Landingham. Sad

Howmercurialislife · 23/04/2021 18:55

@TunstallTansy yes Damon, I had a massive crush on Simon O'brien back then!

Maggiesfarm · 23/04/2021 18:55

Wellard.

IronyFreeAnnie · 23/04/2021 18:55

Danny in Juliet Bravo. I think I was about 6 at the time and I’ve never forgotten it.

bubdud · 23/04/2021 18:55
