Do you think that Fergie and Prince Andrew will get remarried now?

Prince Phillip couldn't stand Fergie don't blame him but now that he has died the way is clear.

It could be a new start for both of them - she's sorted out her debts and clattery lifestyle, and he needs a big PR win.

Just wondering...

Surely she's not that stupid?

Goldenphoenix · 17/04/2021 08:46

Christ, she's better off away from that odious man. Hope she steers well clear!

Bluntness100 · 17/04/2021 08:47

Can’t imagine it.

IamnotH · 17/04/2021 08:47

No, even if they were madly in love and wanted to I think it would be a bad PR move as the media would speculate it was in order that Fergie couldn't testify against him if US brought charges.

Medievalist · 17/04/2021 08:47

And you think them getting married would be it? Confused

HasaDigaEebowai · 17/04/2021 08:48

No but how can she ‘steer clear’. They’ve lived together for years

SelkieIntegrated · 17/04/2021 08:48

I doubt it!

KillingMeHardly · 17/04/2021 08:48

I doubt it. Surely not even Fergie is silly enough to reattach herself to someone so toxic.

PiccallilliCircus · 17/04/2021 08:49

No.

IdblowJonSnow · 17/04/2021 08:50

I think they should continue to lay low. Theyve caused their kids enough embarrassed over the years. Mainly PA of course.

Kaptain · 17/04/2021 08:50

Yes I do, actually. She's redeemed herself - look at all the people on this thread advising her to steer clear! - and we all some of us love a retribution/falling back in love story.

Anyway, it would certainly give him some different headlines, and they do seem to like each other.

As for what Fergie would get out of it, being in the Royal family seems like a win for her!

Yes their households do seem to have remained close, even in the same actual house I think? Which is what makes me think they might make it formal now.

Look how people used to view Camilla. And, indeed, Fergie!

MissMarks · 17/04/2021 08:51

Do they not already live together?

SimonJT · 17/04/2021 08:51

I think shes about 45 years too old for Andrew.

Kaptain · 17/04/2021 08:52

Oh I don't doubt that, but these arrangement can often work well...

God I hope not. She's made some bad decisions in her life but let's not remarry a pompous, rapey friend of a sex trafficker.

IamnotH · 17/04/2021 08:53

@Kaptain my parents (mid 60's) and grandparents (mid 80's) still can't stand Camilla. I think it's only the younger generations that have 'accepted' her.

SerenadeOfTheSchoolRun · 17/04/2021 08:55

I think they might but keep it very low key, more so than Beatrice’s wedding. It wouldn’t mean they could relaunch as working royals but they seem to be a couple anyway so it would probably be good for inheritance tax reasons if nothing else.

millenialblush · 17/04/2021 08:55

Shes redeemed herself?! What about him! It would be a PR disaster for her. Maxine what's-her-face is about to reveal everything, I dont think Fergie would want to be any way involved.

But, it would give Fergie an incredible amount of power in the family, being PA's 'shield'...

Not going to happen.

PA is going to get less autonomy after the queen goes not more. There’s no way Charles would approve a marriage surely?

Frownette · 17/04/2021 09:02

I've got a soft side, so I hope they do Blush

Neither of them seem to have met anyone else, Fergie's close to the Queen and they're grandparents and seem to get on well living together.

BigWolfLittleWolf · 17/04/2021 09:03

My understanding was that they had been living together for years.
I always quite liked Fergie (and Harry and Charles and camilla) but staying close to a man like that entirely changed my opinion of her.
Then learning Charles’s was good friends with Saville put me off him.
Only Harry left now as the only decent one imo.
No good, moral person would stay close to a person like Andrew.

He wouldn't need to approve. Only the first six in line need approval and Andrew is 8th.

I don't think the will though.

Who is Maxine??
