Do you think that Fergie and Prince Andrew will get remarried now?

Prince Phillip couldn't stand Fergie don't blame him but now that he has died the way is clear.

It could be a new start for both of them - she's sorted out her debts and clattery lifestyle, and he needs a big PR win.

Just wondering...

Why did they get divorced in the first place?

I agree it seems only now that royals can marry more for love them the right fit. Had Charles and Diana been less pressured to marry they would have been happier, I'm surprised the queen pressured him seeing as PP was not seen as a good suitor in the 40s but she married him anyway.

I remember in the 90s the press would rip Sarah as she dared to be red headed and not skinny. Eugenie spreads awareness of scoliosis which is great!

Maggiesfarm · 17/04/2021 22:43

@ToffeeNotCoffee

He wouldn't propose because he knew his Dad would say no. I heard a rumour some years ago that they might get married after his Dad died.

They would have to do it whilst the Queen was still on the throne. He won't want to go cap-in-hand to his brother, Charles to ask permission to marry Fergie when Charles is King.

Andrew better capitalise on his, 'love child' status if he still has it.

He wouldn't need permission to marry. It's only under 25 year old royals who need permission from the monarch.

@Laburnam

Maybe they could remarry in Vegas and the FBI can question him on his involvement with trafficked girls and his on going relationship with Epstein even after the accusations
They can question him anyway, here if they want to. I doubt he has much to tell them, frankly, and they probably know that. They have lots of others in the same boat to question. However, Ghislane Maxwell is the one who knew the real Epstein and is implicated in his crimes; she had the sense to get out of his life eventually but too late.

@SimonJT

I think shes about 45 years too old for Andrew.
I came on this thread to say this

Why did they get divorced in the first place?

The story is that they were forced into it after the tabloids published photos of her with a lover. The implication is that the actual cheating itself wasn't the problem, it was the public finding out. Apparently Fergie was at Balmoral when the pictures were published. There must've been one hell of an atmosphere at the breakfast table that morning!

The rumour is the Queen knew about the villa where Sarah was staying when Johnny Brian would also be there and tipped off the press. That's where he was photographed sucking Sarah's toe by the pool.

Also, PA remarked he saw a photo of his wife, Fergie, with her posh friends having a posh night out. It was a group photo on the lawn. All good. With me so far ?

Andrew said he studied the photo and came to the conclusion that it was the following morning. Basically, Sarah had been partying all night.

Sarah and Andrew had spent a year of their engagement seeing each other regularly. Not long after getting married, Andrew went away to sea. She struggled with the crushing loneliness. Other Navy wives just said, 'it comes with the territory, suck it up.'

PepeSilviaDoesNotExist · 17/04/2021 23:42

Not a chance any PR can improve on his situation. He’s done, finished, over. The public will never accept him back as a working royal. Fergie deserves better

ToffeeNotCoffee · 17/04/2021 23:47

Fergie deserves better

Fair comment. She still describes him as her, 'handsome prince.'

I wonder what she thinks of him now ? Would she accept his proposal if it was offered ?

Wizzbangfizz · 17/04/2021 23:54

@BigWolfLittleWolf I agree with your post I've always quite liked her but the fact she seems so attached to such a man isn't great, in fact the whole thing is questionable. His daughters and ex wife seem to adore him and he is the queens favourite. Which then begs the question why won't he submit to questioning to clear his name for their sakes? The whole thing stinks.

Banville · 17/04/2021 23:59

He seems so utterly charmless in every way. Even pre- the whole Epstein fall out you never read anything about him that made him seem pleasant in any way. He was always the royal who was reported as being loathed by staff/security etc. But the ladies in his family think he's the bees knees.

Rather them than me.

Sceptre86 · 18/04/2021 00:05

Nope, for the sake of their girls they should live a media free, quite, privileged life.

dayswithaY · 18/04/2021 00:20

I thought A and S were already separated when the topless toe sucking photos came out. They were the final straw that caused them to divorce. Steve Wyatt was the American she was initially seeing then she moved onto his friend Johnny Bryan, her so called financial adviser.

I always thought he was kissing her toes, not sucking.

THisbackwithavengeance · 18/04/2021 07:41

I think PA should be subject to questioning by the FBI after Anne whatsername is made to return to the UK to face charges for mowing down that boy on his bike.

Clearly won't happen.

I remember the drubbing SF got from the press in the 90s, also CPB. They were both insulted by the press in vile, misogynistic terms.

That's why I could never understand the fuss about MM being targeted by the press. The press merely sniped and bitched about her about the most petty matters because she hadn't really done anything wrong.

Rockbird · 18/04/2021 08:25

SF was treated appallingly by the papers, all that Duchess of Pork stuff, vile and misogynistic.

cushioncovers · 18/04/2021 08:42

How do we actually know the SF and PA are romantically involved?

YogaLite · 18/04/2021 08:51

I wouldn't be surprised if they did, after all they all do what they want anyway, who cares really.

ancientgran · 18/04/2021 09:06

We don't but lets face it we don't know if most of the stuff spouted about the royals on here and elsewhere is true or made up. It is just that some people "know" they just do, don't need evidence or anything trivial like that.
LEMtheoriginal · 18/04/2021 09:11

Daisy? Is that you?

And he'd still be a paedophile
